DL4TRU_STRENGTH
Im connecting my DVD player to my router via CAT5 (ethernet) and just noticed that there are different MPS ratings for these cables and even some routers have limits to how much speed they can handle. My main question is - is this a big detail to consider or will I not notice a significant difference in quality/strength?

It all depends on the service you recieve from your ISP. These. don't fret it. Run the **** off wireless and the casual user probably wouldn't even notice. Wirerat
Meh, no biggie, chances are your data speeds aren't going to be affected by your equipment unless you pay the bucks to have a dedicate T-1 or better run to your house. That's most likely to be affected by your provider, bandwidth limitations, how many users are connected to your provider at once (ever notice that often times during peak hours the internet response times can be noticably slower.), and how many users are hitting that particular site at the moment. You can have the best of the best equipment in the world, and more often than not, you aren't going any faster than the guy next door that just hooked it up with what he had and let er rip. brewster
Yep, you are absolutely right, your player needs a usb adapter (WLM-10NB1), however, you shouldn't have to worry about your connection speed if using a cat5.
