NFL_FTW
he seems to think cutting the gov numbers down would pay for all that' date=' i would think America makes billions (at the worst hundreds of millions) in income tax every year.[/quote'] I understand. I posted it a little after you posted something very similar to what I wrote. I just want people to think about it. Who here likes paying taxes? Of course no body. Everyone already understands we all don't like to pay taxes. But, here's the problem. What does it pay for? Well, it pays for a lot of services. Some of which I don't use, but still affect me. Example: Police. I've never had an issue with any police officer. But, just the presence of the police is a deterrent on crime, so in a sense, I have used that service as the surrounding region is fairly safe. I've had the impact of helping pay taxes which go to schools, so the people I interact with are fairly well educated in my region. As well as paying taxes which goes toward road repairs, so that transportation can happen from my home to my work and other places I go to. Hospitals so that in a major circumstance, I or anyone can be treated efficiently. Some of these services I pay for in my taxes, I don't even see directly paying, so you may think I'm getting screwed over. Well, here's the thing - I have morality and a good heart. As an example, I wouldn't want to see taxes decreased so that our health care system suffers more, even though I'm an incredibly healthy young man. Some of the things BJJnoob says is true. It's about understanding the issue of the problem. Bigger spending for the usage of every citizen's tax dollars is not always the answer, especially if the problem is systemic within the health care system. It's just not an easy fix, depending on the issue at hand. The problem is, neither candidate has a viable solution toward fixing the issues at hand. Also, I'm not going to try and convince people that whatever candidate is good or bad for them. Some people already know who they are going to vote for and having debates with them can seem like a pointless venture. But, that still doesn't mean we can't have debates/conversations and have certain disagreements and agreements on various topics. I'd personally rather vote for someone who pays their fair share of taxes and doesn't utilize loop holes to get around the system. That doesn't seem very moral to me and I'd be surprised if anyone thought that was moral. Personally, I wouldn't want to vote for a person that utilized tax loop holes while I know myself and other people on this forum are paying their fair share of taxes. Regardless, everyone is entitled to their opinion.
