Kongo_Hero
Its weird. i have met 3 fighters before for autographs.. i met Alessio Sakara when he was fighting at 205, and he was small.. he is listed as 6'2'' but there is no way he was 6'2''.. i would say about 5'10'' he was... he didn't look 205 either, he looked about 180. the other fighter i met was Mark Hunt and he was huge and a tank, he is short about 5'9'' or 5'10'' but he is legit 300 Ibs.. he was really thick and like a tank. I could tell if he never trained he could be like 400 Ibs. the last fighter i met was Josh Burkman (he use to be in UFC but got cut few years ago) and he was small aswell.. his frame and everything was small.. on TV they said he cuts loads of weight to make 170 and Joe Rogan was always saying he is a big 170 but he isnt in real life, he looked exactly same size as my cousin who was with me and my cousin is like 165. i'm 5'11'' and weigh 192 Ibs...and there is no way that i was smaller than Sakara he is suppose to be 6'2'' and 205 at that time plus he was cutting weight to get to 205. RogerJones620
I was surprised at how short Sean Sherk was. Also, this is unrelated, but I was also surprised to learn that 140-155 pound pro fighters can still mop the floor with 220+ pound amateurs. lol. I saw this happen on more than one occasion. JonesyUK
Im 5"9: Frankie Edgar and Anthony Pettis were TINY, tops of their ends like just reached my eyeline! Chael Sonnen is big, easily 6"2 and built. He really does cut a lot of weight! Matt Hughes is very stocky and broad, about 5"8. His arms are huge
clraymer
i went to a UFC show in Houston a while back, and saw Ross Person & Bonner. Ross was extra small. This was when he was on his way to 155 i think, but he was really small. Im 6'0 and i was looking down on him. He was skinny, but he was also cut. Bonner wasnt as tall as i thought. We were close to eye to eye with im being a bit taller not very much, but he was thick. I mean you could tell he would be pretty strong. Im sure he was prolly all of 225 / 230. He wasnt no where near a fight so im sure he was at his walk around weight. Still i would have to say that you can tell how strong they are, and that they are fit. But, as far as how big they look on tv, i would say nothing close to it.

Alessio Sakara was a lught heavyweight when i met him and he was tiny, i dont understand how he could have been 6'2'' and 205.. he looked very small. Mark Hunt was legit HUGE though, easily 300 Ibs. the other fighters i didnt get autographs with but i saw them in the distance and they didnt look big, they looked bigger on TV. I remember that lol. They definitely bill fighters as being bigger than they actually are. For whatever god damn reason. It's not like I'm going to be less interested in a match up because one of the guys is a few inches shorter lol.

TornHonor
I have met a few UFC fighters but the ones who really shocked me based off their size were Dan Henderson and Rashad Evans. I met Hendo in Montreal and Rashad in Boston. I am 6'1 and was a good 3 inches taller than both of them. They were both muscular but no way Hendo was the 6'1 he is billed as. ZaGOAT
I've met Bartimus, the Roufus team, Bonnar, and Ariel. Bartimus seems to be bigger than he is on TV. And he was solid as hell. Bonnar looks exactly like how he does in the cage. Ariel is much taller in person. Pettis is tiny as hell. Koch is bigger than he looks in the cage. Ronny Markes is much smaller than you would've imagined, but I'm not sure because I met him when he fought at 205. Cowboy is as tall as he looks on TV, he is lean as hell though, much leaner than people think. Wineland looks much smaller too and Benavidez is actually a bit bigger than you might think. Faber looks smaller than you would imagine and he's short too. It depends really. Some guys are smaller than you would expect and some are bigger than you see on TV. FrostyWalnut
Sonnen is a monster in person. Then again I'm 5'7 138 lbs He was walking up the stairs at the rosegarden and he saw me and my two friends just staring at him kind of in awe and he turned around and put his hand on my shoulder and said "Watsup fellas" that dudes hand is gigantic and I don't think he had been cutting much because the dude looked 200+ easily
