Shields vs Palhares

I think Palhares would win the fight rather easily. He's much stronger, and you need to be just as strong to defend his subs, technique alone isn't gonna save you. Also Shields would not be able to put him away like Belcher or Marquardt, so Rousimar would have much more time to catch him.

While I would love to see Palhares sub out Shields, I really think that if Alan Belcher can avoid his subs long enough to ground and pound him out that Shields can dominate him on the ground as well. Of course, Shields can't finish anyone but I think he would win by decision. I would love to see this matchup though.

The bolded part is what Shields can't do. Palhares will have 15 minutes to lock-pull-&-snap in any submission.

Palhares has better striking and grappling. Jake cant use wrestling in reverse because palhares will pull gaurd. Palhares is better at bottom game than top game, Jake cant blanket all 15mins.

I bet on Shields on my last sigbet against Ed herman, so I by no means am biased. I just try to call it based on previous fights.
