Yesterdays_Hero
I think it makes sense with Paul Harris coming off a loss against a top ranked Alan Belcher and Shields getting a convincing win over Herman who had a decent streak going. Plus I think it's a pretty interesting match up.

Yesterdays_Hero
I would love to see 185fitch get heel hooked. Haha, I'd love to see it go down. It would be an awesome fight unless it turns out Shields has the ability to blanket him.
Pengu
Paul Harris by submission easily. Shields could have the most overrated mma jiu jitsu in the middleweight division--as he had Kampmann mounted fresh into the fight and could do squat all. Jbrahams
Palhares definitely seems like the more dangerous submission artist, but Shields could very well be more knowledgable, so I don't know if he'd get caught Definitely a fight I wanna see though
button_man
i was thinking of the same match up.i got palhares via heel hook in the 1st
TheEntity
I think Palhares would win the fight rather easily. He's much stronger, and you need to be just as strong to defend his subs, technique alone isn't gonna save you. Also Shields would not be able to put him away like Belcher or Marquardt, so Rousimar would have much more time to catch him.
UCFMRE
While I would love to see Palhares sub out Shields, I really think that if Alan Belcher can avoid his subs long enough to ground and pound him out that Shields can dominate him on the ground as well. Of course, Shields can't finish anyone but I think he would win by decision. I would love to see this matchup though.
Mike_89
shield could keep it standing and go all k1 on palhares

Yesterdays_Hero
Palhares via heel hook just after Herb Bean says "fight". Let's assume that Big John McCarthy is reffing. Who takes it now, Shields UD?

Palhares will have 15 minutes to lock-pull-&-snap in any submission. Palhares has better striking and grappling. Jake cant use wrestling in reverse because palhares will pull gaurd. Palhares is better at bottom game than top game, Jake cant blanket all 15mins. I bet on Shields on my last sigbet against Ed herman, so I by no means am biased. I just try to call it based on previous fights.
