The Greatest LHW Champion of all time....

Being first doesn't make it any better' date=' just shows that he was the champ when the sport lacked other talent.

Jon Jones is pretty much already the best LHW of all time. He's beaten Machida, Rampage, Shogun and Rashad with Hendo about to be added to the list.[/quote']

Ok lets clear this up now. Back then he beat the best competition in the sport, it is not his fault the sport was not developed to where it is now and he is why on of the reasons why it is to this point. And again that title defense number for a lhw champion has not been beaten since he set it as the first champion, its been standing for close to 15 years.

Jon Jones is not already even close to the best LHW of all time. Granted they are impressive victories there is no dispute there but he is still young and the sport is still young to say he is greatest of all time pretty much, is pretty much way way premature.

On a side note I like your AV. (Watch it be from an AV bet or something)

If Jones beats Hendo he'll only have 1 less title defence and the competition level is significantly higher. If he's not already the greatest he will be very soon.

and the Av was my choice, Bruce Leeroy ftw. :D

I will concede if he ties the five title defenses and he finishes Machida in his fifth not by submission by tko at least, I will think of passing him Tito's Crown :D

Bruce Leeroy I do not know what it is about the dude, he is just a likeable dude.

I alos say Bruce Leeroy FTW.

The Time you Reign really doesn't matter because that all depends on how many fight you take a year. Also he was Champion when the UFC was doing far fewer shows so naturally he should have a longer reign. Also do we all forget the body guard at the time for him Chuck I.E. Chuck faced all the good talent and Tito fought the scrubs. You can call me a fan boy I don't care but Jon jones is about to do in less then Two years what it took Tito 5 years to do. With his next win Jones will be one back from tieing Tito's record. Jones is also facing far tougher competition it just the honest truth, lastly Chuck is above Tito in terms of LHW champions in my opinion.

+1

Chuck would have beat Tito earlier if Tito wasn't ducking him. Eventually Jones will probably be #1 at the pace that he is going but it will always be Chuck to me. He was dominate during his time and was humble/respectful while doing it.

If we are talking reigns

Ortiz Reign:

Wanderlei

Kondo

Tanner

Sinosic

V Mat

Shamrock

Liddell Reign:

Couture

Horn

Couture

Sobral

Ortiz

Jones' Reign:

Shogun

Rampage

Machida

Evans

Hate to say it, but if Jones gets past Hendo, he has the best reign no doubt. Then Id go liddell. He beat Couture and Ortiz up, two guys who would also be in contention for this position.

All former champs in the UFC...sorry Wanderlei Pride doesn't count.

and Jones got the most in his tittle defense run.

Bone's only makes the p4p LHW list because of his insane height and reach advantage.

All things being equal, as the old saying goes' a good big un will always beat a good little un.

If he shows the same level of dominance among fighters at HW, which is where he should be, i think he can be considered P4P, but not until.
