Randy Couture Not Coming Back to Fighting ?Unless Steven Seagal Wants to Sign Up?

Former UFC champion Randy Couture is living the good life these days.

 

He?s currently promoting the release of The Expendables 2, which hits theaters this Friday, and also recently had a starring role in a straight-to-video release action film calld Hijacked.

 

Long gone are Couture?s days in the Octagon, and he has no regrets walking away when he did, and according to the former two-weight class champion he conquered every goal he set for himself when he started fighting.

 

?No, I think everything I set out to do, I managed to pull off, and it has been an amazing journey for 15 years,? Couture said when speaking to G4TV?s Attack of the Show on Wednesday.

 

Since leaving the UFC, Couture has worked primarily on his acting career, most recently his role in the action series The Expendables. In the sequel set for release this week, Couture stars alongside several action stars including Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham and Jean-Claude Van Damme.

 

Now the focus of most of Couture?s interviews these days revolve around what he?s up to these days in terms of his acting career, but the MMA legend doesn?t escape a few questions about his fighting past.

 

One of the most common questions has to be ?is there any fight that would draw you back into the Octagon??.

 

Well, leave it to Randy Couture to spice things up and throw out another action star?s name, who isn?t in The Expendables, but happens to be swirling around his old stomping ground in the UFC.

 

?Not unless (Steven) Seagal wants to sign up,? Couture answered with a smile and a laugh.

 

Seagal has become quite infamous in the MMA world over the last few years, appearing in the corner and training camps for several high profile fighters, most notably UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.

 

While it?s highly unlikely Couture vs. Seagal will be happening any time soon in the UFC, it appears the real fighting legend is taking notice of the movie star stepping on his turf

I'd pay $10,000 to see that fight.

 

Randy would smash him standing.

Randy would strangle and snap bones.

Randy would G&P his face into the canvas.

 

 

Segal will resort to eye pokes, scratching, throat chops, and groin strikes after the first punch to his fat face in desperate hopes of a DQ, so he can say with his swollen bleeding face after "The UFC is a sport, in a real fight I would win."

 

Seriously, Demetrious Johnson would make Segal his *****.

Seagal is a narcist ****, full of himself, a horrible dresser and an all together unpleasant human being. That said though..the man has an unnatural ability to catch what people throw at him and do horrendous things in return. I have a coworker that trained under Seagal for 5 years that says he is the scariest dude she ever knew..

 

UFC rules with gloves Couture via TKO, outside the cage, Seagal via terrible, terrible things....trust me.

Can we stop acting like Segal knows some secret ninja move to defeat anyone in the streets... Couture would wreck him and then Segal would make some dumb riddle like statement how a true warrior allows oneself to lose to gain the wisdom to win later or something else dumb.

I just greatly dislike Segal and I think JCVD is 10 times better

 

I feel like i get my moneys worth though just seeing seagul pop up on the screen for an interview because you know what he says is going to be so outrageous you cant help but break out laughing

I agree you could ask him what is his favorite color and he is going to go into some story about being a white boy in japan learning martial arts.

JCVD is not a real fighter either. They both have black belts...big whoop 10 year olds get black belts and stripes these days. Chuck >JCVD AND SG. 8 time world full contact champion...what have those 2 won?

 

JCVD did participate in full contact having an 18-1 record. I do agree Chuck has a way bigger back round in fighting but thats not the point, the point was Segal is a joke and when JCVD wanted to fight he ran. If Chuck would have challenged him he would have probably had a heart attack.

I heard Segal is pretty dirty. I heard stories of him crotch-checking stunt men on his films just to see if they were wearing a cup.

 

I'd rather see Van Damme tune him up than Randy though.

I'm not the dude to compliment Jones very often. However, good for him to not allow Seagal to leach off his success like he does over at Black House. I remember they asked him why and he said he owes his success to his coaches and doesn't want "any confusion" about who helped him win his fight. Respect.

 

I wish Silva would just stop being nice and pretending like this bum actually teaches him anything.

Seagal is nothing more than a fraud and I would pay top dollar to see any current or former UFC fighter wipe the floor with him.

 

Agree. Are we really having this discussion? Even if we remove skill completely, imagine the difference in cardio. This would be as easy as Randy vs. James Toney, and I agree here that any UFC fighter currently on the roster would annihilate Segall (except for maybe Cody McKenzie lol)

What is Segall going to do when a world-class wrestler who has made a living off taking people down in the ring charges at him with a head of steam, plants his head in his gut, and double legs him onto his ***? Does anyone here realistically think "sensei" Segall has TDD? A sick sprawl? COME ON. What's he going to chop Randy in the neck on the way in? Throw some sissy punch? Use a friggin Jedi mind trick?

 

And then what happens once he's on his back? How is he going to stop Randy from mounting him? Oh, and then after that? How's his chin? Since he's been tested in full-contact combat so many times...

 

The only thing Segall should be mentioned for in relation to MMA is that he is by far the worst dressed person in attendance at any event he comes to...

We all just agree on the fact that steven seagal would be destroyed by any fighter in the ufc would love to see him fight uncle creepy

and the fact that in his personal life hes just a douch bag that cheats on every woman that hes been stupid enough to lay with him, he has like 8 kids so i doubt theres much energy left in him
