RodrigoRua
First of all, let me make smth clear: I hope Hendo wins but I dont think that will happen. So, my question is how would Hendo be able to land his powerful right hand on Jones ? What will Hendo do that Rampage, Bader and Machida didnt ? In a few words, how do you think Hendo will play against Jones ? I personally think Hendo will go "crazy and blind" towards Jones since round 1 for some reasons: 1. Hendo knows his tank is short and he wont be able to keep up with Jones for more than 2 rounds 2. He knows he can get inside Jones even if he has to take some on his chin and he knows Jones cant KO him with one punch only. 3. Best way to annulate Jones reach is getting inside 4. Last but not least, he knows if he touches Jones chin the the HB ... Jones will sleep. Cant see Hendo trying TD or waiting for them, cant see Hendo trying leg kicks. Thoughts ??? PS. Gotta say, Im veru curious to see what will Hendo bring that saturday night on PPV ... LOL

StompGrind
He will have to do it on clinch breaks. I don't see him doing it from a distance, he doesn't have the footwork, head movement or counter striking reaction speed. It's possible if he comes out really aggressive with constant pressure but his chances are slim to none and he will gas and get taken down easily. 12еr
He needs to get in his face and not allow him time to find his range. He needs to go full speed ahead Chael Sonnen style with relentless pressure. I think if it goes to the third round he's going to lose, so his best bet is to go for broke from the start. Jones has developed a great deal of confidence in his stand up in his last few fights. This is opening him up a bit more than earlier in his career, Rashad even managed to sneak in a head kick on him. Hopefully he makes mistake and Hendo finds a perfect counter. Obviously, you're asking a rhetorical question to just look for answers to how you think Hendo should defeat Jones( your solutions 1 through 3. ). Hendo is a smarter fighter than you make him out to be. Hendo already said that he, Hendo, is not looking for the KO just to win the rounds, which is the best way to defeat JBJ, and Machida was the only one on his way to doing just that, but got reckless in the 2nd round. Hendo already has got this on how to defeat JBJ. We just have to wait for Sept 1, 2012. There isn't much else to add because JBJ has been challenged by enough former champs to know already the blueprint to beat JBJ.

ZenWarrior1406052210
The only way Hendo wins is to bum rush him like he did Fedor.. Negative. Fedor's reach compared to JJ is 10" shorter. JJ will just stick his hand out and stop Hendo's bum rush, and then elbow him like JJ elbowed Rashad. Hendo will have to compete with JJ every round patiently until JJ makes a mistake, then Hendo will need to close the distance midway of JJ's mistake or faux pas and counter with many punches like hooks, right hands, and uppercuts, and when Hendo achieves a good clinch by tiring and stunning JJ, elbow JJ really good then follow up with a variety of punches again, but all of this needs to be done patiently. XYY
When two fighters stand and trade they are both vulnerable. Hendo might have the cooler head in a stand & trade situation, so if he can get to inside Jones' reach and force a stand & trade and dictate the distance, Hendo could get the KO. Brent555
Well, if he wants to land the h-b, he is probably going to need to hit him in the face at some point. That would be my guess on what he will do.

Nyte
Needs to close the distance, maybe even try to take him down and gnp him. Could get a KO like he did against babalu. I see this fight being just like the Rampage fight. Hendo won't be able to get inside to even hit Jones. Jones will keep the distance, strike him with some kicks, get him on the ground and sub hendo. I wouldn't be mad at all if Hendo won, I think it would be pretty awesome to see him become a UFC Champ.

Ichigo
Hendo needs combinations to get inside. If he uses combinations more often he has the chance to KO jones. Wading in with his right and ****ed and his left hand way out front is not going to get it done. We have all seen he has KO power in both hands so why not use it instead of just the H-Bomb? As i said if he jumps in early with combinations before jones is able to adjust his reach Hendo Could KO him but the H-Bomb alone wont do it. Combinations ftw! Wirerat
Hendo's only chance is to throw a sucker punch when they go to touch gloves. ^This^ worked very well for Machida didnt it Apparently you and me, didn't see where Machida was so impressive in that fight. Sure he landed a couple nice shots in the first, but Jones wasn't even remotely stunned, and didn't even look remotely concerned that Machida had landed punches on him, his focus didn't change, or anything. Machida landed punches and it didn't even phase Jones in the least and Jones took care of business WITH EASE in the second round like he was toying with a child. It's amazing to me that there are people nieve enough to think that Jones has been challenged enough for someone have developeda blue print to beating him. Machida ARGUABLY won the first round, and it was arguable at best. Other than that, no one has even given him a remote challenge outside of Rashad landing a couple of hard shots here and there (likely to happen during a 25 minute fight). I haven't seen anything anywhere that leads me to believe that Hendo, Machida II, or anyone else is a truely legitimate threat to Jon Jones title run. If Jon Jones loses the title it'll be because he didn't train at all, didn't take the fight seriously enough, or completely lost focus. But if he stays focused, trains hard, and keeps his head about him during the fights, outside of a winging KO punch, I just don't see anyone taking Jones's title, and if it does happen, they aren't keeping it from him for very long you can rest assured. Like him or not, he's here to stay, and he's likely to be holding a belt be it LHW or HW the majority of his career no matter how bad anyone hates to admit it.. casino16
jones has zero ko power. he has never made anyone (in the ufc) unconscious by striking them, hes gotten tko's but never ko's. only way he can beat henderson is to wrestle him to a decision or get him tired enough to put him in a sub. hendo just needs to atack right away and swing. we know jones will not be able to handle hendo strikes if he does. but if hendo pulls a rampage and just freezes then hes done
zaksame
Hendo is so bad even his most productive weapon is slow motion telegraphed. The reason it connects is it is sort of an over the top blind side strike. However Jones never has to get within that reach and Jones is athletic meaning that telegraphed swing should be easy to avoid. As soon as Hendo swings once and misses ,Jones should have the mind set to jump on him and take him down.Shield's is not a great gnp'r but if and when Jones gets on top of him,the elbows will have the ref jumping in to save Hendo's life. Plain and simple Hendo is god awful once taken down,he will need less than 30 seconds on the clock to save him when it happens.
