lol' date=' not buying a card because you don't recognize many big names is like saying I want Nikes because they say Nike on them, not these other new shoes that look like Nikes--even though both serve the same purpose.[/quote']

would you order it if Dan or Jon got injured?

be honest.

Well, I have a buddy who gets every single PPV...he has some people over and I chip in 10 bucks each time. No big deal. Fighters are fighters.....and to those who won't watch it because of "no-names" may chance missing something historic happen. Who knows? I'm a fan of MMA and the UFC, so I watch for the fights.

Maybe Jones/Hendo will turn out to be the weakest fight on the card.

Well i like the 4 main fights,so unlike the last card,i won't be turning off right before the main event.I do not like Hendo in a main event ,he is a bum but i will enjoy Jones performance for sure.Heck i don't like either main event fighter as a person but Jones is a great fighter,so i enjoy watching him fight.

Yes, I want the chance to witness one of the biggest moments in MMA history,

Dan Henderson, the legend who has done it all except win a UFC title, KTFO the almost invincible young title holder and cement himself as arguably the most decorated and greatest fighter of all time

I don't want to miss that

The two fights I could do without are

145 lbs.: Takeya Mizugaki vs. Jeff Hougland

170 lbs.: Jacob Volkmann vs. Shane Roller

and possibly Johnson vs Castillo since Castillo is never in an entertaining fight and then rages when the crowd boos, but Johnson looks really good lately so interested to see him perform

will be a great watch

if you cant afford thats a different story tho... might want to save for better cards?

lol at people saying "ohhh but i got to see Shogun for free!!!", well he was a bum in his last fight, i bet half the fights on this events undercard will be more entertaining than that fight....

It's partly because Shogun fought like crap, but also Brandon Vera did well.

Sorry not trying to steer from actual convo, just wanted to address this.

I think I might by it too.

If you notice bro, there is a trend for cards depending on three factors:

1.) Location

2.) Time of the year

3.) Who the main event is

Basically, if the card is in the US of A, then its likely it will be a weak card with a strong main event - boxing card style.

However, if its superbowl weekend, NYE, or July, then Las Vegas will host the card and it will get stacked (injuries allowing!)

If the card doesnt fall on one of the above weekends, is in the USA, and is headlined by any of the champ from LW upwards, then the undercard will be weak.

Canada and Brazil now get the most stacked cards (149 was stacked before injuries)

Although Jones and Hendo are head and shoulders above the rest in terms of star power and relevance there are still fights that interest me' date=' and I'll be watching for sure.

And Volkmann at 170? Is that a typo or can we see Volkmann get fed to someone :D

btw, Bones vs Hendo promo - ufc channel... c'mon, when is hendo coming to fight?

Dan Henderson is worth the price of a PPV regardless of who he's fighting or what the under card is. The fact that he's taking on the man who very well could become the greatest fighter in history, makes this a no brainer for me. Throw in Tavares, who's put one some real quality fights over the years, Siver, and the Ellenberger/Hieron fight; this might not be the most well rounded card in terms of star power, but it sure is promising to be an enjoyable event to watch. Besides, you don't need to pad the undercard with big drawing names, you've got Jonny Jones, who is PPV catnip.
