Me_Against_The_World could come in at any time and start throwing around his opinions that Roy Nelson relies on his excess weight at heavyweight to be competitive and suggesting that him dropping weight is an indication that you have no idea what you're talking about, but we all know that he doesn't really know anything and just likes the sound of his own voice. (well, the forum equivalent)

Truth is Roy did adapt his style to suit his physique, there's no denying that, but surely his physical capabilities would change as he loses weight, and he could adapt his style accordingly. Obviously he'd have to be smart about it, trying to fight the way he does with a new physique won't work, but there is no indication that he isn't adaptable. So completely ruling out a drop in weight is absurd IMO, especially considering the amount of unnecessary weight he holds. There's simply no way of telling if a drop in weight would be beneficial or detrimental to his performances unless he does it.

Dang, Roy looks like he could easily make WW.

Of course just about every fight I've seen him in thus far even though he was massively fat, he always looked ridiculously smaller than his opponents. Gotta respect what he has done despite his physical conditioning and lack of size.

Imagine Roy at WW or MW. BOSS!
