AS vs JBJ should take examples from Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, and Joe Frazier

AS and JBJ are top in the world. But it seems like they don't want to prove it. AS seems like he only wants to fight one guy yet (an undersized GSP) and only one fight per year. (Understandable, he's been around long enough and earned the right to pick and choice I guess, if anyone has). AS doesn't want to fight any middle weights as of now. JBJ doesn't want to fight Anderson, Chael, or Lyoto but it looks like he now will fight Lyoto. I don't think JBJ has been around enough to start doing what AS does.

What happened to other eras were the guys would want to find out who is best? I understand the weight classes, but look at BJ Penn fighting up in weight vs Lyoto many years ago. Look at an undersized Joe Frazier fighting Muhammadi Ali 3 times, and George Foreman in the mix. Look at the origional UFC format with Royce Gracie, at look at Dan Henderson, fighting in 3 weight classes. The 2 top dogs could have fought, made a ton of money, and we could have found out who was the best. Or JBJ could have found Chael and got a lot of PPV buys. But instead, we have a cancelled card. The 2 best in the world seem afraid of each other and avoid high risk opponents. JBJ and AS are incredible, but I wish they would be willing to fight anyone in their weight class worthy of a title shot.

Well, seeing the breaking news of AS offering to fight JBJ, I'm very impressed with AS. No idea why Dana didn't say, ok UFC 151 back on! (except for more time to promote such a huge profile fight, I can understand that). Hopefully they fight in the future.

Anderson said he'd step in and fight any available LHW, since Jones already bailed... But we coulda at least seen Anderson vs. Shogun or something!

That would have been awesome. Shogun said a little while back that he'd like to fight Anderson at 205, too. Shame.
