With this new matchup between Jones and Belfort...

Does anyone know how Vitor ended up with this fight? Dana announced Machida and said there was no way Jones was turning it down...

I'm assuming Lyoto turned it down himself then?

Lyoto didn't want to fight on short notice, don't know how Vitor got the fight though. I guess they figured he used to be a 205er and is quite dangerous so just stick him in there.

Imagine if he won.... Vitor the LHW Champion... that came out of nowhere.

That would be ****ing epic! I think he can do it I mean, he did handle a giant in Anthony Johnson... Then we get Silva v Belfort 2, this time at LHW.

awww yeah :)

I expect Jones to take him down with ease though' date=' didn't Rumble get him down twice?[/quote']

Rumble kind of fell on him a couple of times, yes. Belfort is decent off his back but is prone to 'breaking'. Jones won't have faced a more dangerous striker, but Belfort has.

I expect Jones to try the front kick to the face to try and out-Anderson Anderson.

Sorry but I would have much rather seen Chael fight Jones. Why did he accept to fight Vitor but not Chael? Now it looKs like a bigger duck job than it did yesterday.

Scared of Chaels wrestling so you picked a fighter with inferior wrestling to your own....

What a joke. Champions hand picking opponents is b*ll****. Stand in there and get ready to fight whoever the UFC throws at you. If Jones is the all time great like he thinks he is, he shouldn't have a problem fighting ANYONE.

Agreed but it would have taken serious balls to turn down a second fight.

Jones already proved he doesnt have any.

If Belfort stands on the outside like he did when he fought Anderson he will get messed up, but if the old school Belfort comes out with a bull rush from hell, he has the hand speed and the power to put Jones lights out. This is actually a very interesting fight that no one had even mentioned as a possibility.

Dana needs to get a hold of the LHW division. They are ducking left and right. As soon as Lyoto backed out, Dana should have rewarded Chael's willingness to save 151 and given him the shot at 152. It would have also made Jones and his camp look stupid. If you don't want to fight a Chael Sonnen who only had 8 days notice, then fight a Chael Sonnen that has time to prepare. If Jones has a problem with it then fight somewhere else. If he did that then his fan base would be completely gone and it would pretty much look like Chael Sonnen ran him out of the UFC.
