Leiting
I've long since maintained that Chael is not only hilarious (and delusional about his own skill set/his opponents), but that he makes very valid points. I haven't seen the fight since that night - but I have seen still photos where his knee sure seems to be connecting with Sonnen's face, a good 6 inches about his chest. Look, like I said, Sonnen said the ref didn't notice, the fight was called. It was dumb of Chael to have thrown that spinning back in the first place - what's done is done. I don't get that about Chael. He'll go off on Anderson about minor details and when he grabs the short, almost knees him in the face, assaults him at the way in and attempts to grease he lets it all slide. Sonnen is truly a badass. Takes his loses like a man and doesn't whine (except the first Anderson fight). If he didn't insult Crocop I'd be a big fan. A knee to a downed/grounded opponent is perfectly legal as long as it is not to the head. As far as your "majority" of MMA fans is concerned, you and two of your fat buddies that were rooting for Sonnen, might have seen Silva's thigh graze the face of Sonnen, even though the brunt of the KNEE landed squarely in Sonnens chest. At any rate, the ref, Dana, Rogan, (you know, the guys that are closest to the action and had access to all of the replays) have said the knee was legit. And hold on to your panties, even Chael has not said it was to his face, and he would ***** about anything he could to get another fight. With that being said, I usually appreciate and enjoy your discourses (or ramblings), however they tend to come out on a certain day, but this observation you have given is laughable at best or truley saddening at its lowest. C'mon pal, you know better.

I believe I saw a knee to the head, I know I saw some major short grabbing, and it appears Silva attempted to grease. Sorry, Silva may well be the greatest fighter to ever grace this sport - but on this occasion, I saw a lot that calls into question how the fight turned out. Now all of this is pointless as most of my anger is actually directed at Sonnen for attempting that baffling spinning back against probably the best counter striker in the sport, but I digress. Ultimately, the fight is over, the win-loss column has be filled out, Chael himself accepts it - you'll just have to pardon me that I am upset that one of my least favorite athletes in the world got yet another win over one of my favorite fighters ever using what I believe are questionable tactics. "Fat buddies" was a wild swing in the dark lol. I don't believe the knee was to the face or head but bias is bias and I'm obviously a Silva fan. The shorts grabbing was pretty terrible, in fact, I cringe every time I re-watch the fight while that is going on. The greasing is a non-issue to me. Whatever amount of vasoline was on Silva's body, was transferred evenly to Chaels body during the first round. But pish posh, in the end, its all about being entertained and I must say, I was entertained.

The knee was to the chest and thats defi.ite and done. Only reason you'd still be talking about that is if you haven't seen an HD replay. Otherwise its crystal clear that the knee did not land on the head. And the greasing allegation is laughable. Only valid point is about the short grabbing to which sonnen says he retaliated by grabbing the shorts too. Although silva grabbing the shorts was more blatant he didn't land any significant shot from doing that so that was irrelevent to the result of the fight. Chael lost. Lavigne is one of the most experienced ref in the business he knows his **** better than you do. Get over it. Chael barely defeated bisping that's game over right there.
