Aldo will beat Edgar. Edgar is just a little overrated!

Dana says Edgar was the number 2 p4p fighter in the world b4 the Henderson fights. But he has fought only 3 different guys in 2 1/2 years, and only 2 wins out of that, with draws and losses the remaining results.

Then you've got GSP who has fought numerous number 1 contenders and never lost a round in 35+ rounds.

Edgar is a great fighter but i feel he needs a couple of fights before he challenges the FW division.

At least Edgar fights, GSP hasn't competed in their for well over a year and hasn't fought since 2007 when Serra beat the **** out of him. Plus, Shields took rounds from GSP.

Shields took no rounds. And what do you mean GSP doesnt fight. He's injured!!! Never knocked back a fight' date=' beat everyone easily. Not like overrated Edgar. At least GSp hasnt built his entire legacy on rematches.[/quote']

Hasnt fought since 2007 ?????

hahahahhahahahahahhah

Your a massive MMA fan aint ya????

He took rounds 4&5

Yeah' date=' he just acts out his homosexual fantasies these days, I think Serra knocked him fruity.[/u']

Edgar overated do me a favour. U are talking about a guy whos has been fighting bigger guys and now finally at his correct weight and could possibly go to 135. Anyone who knows anhything about mma knows he won the rematch with ben. I am a gsp fan also but i dont think you can compare the 2. I think the aldo edgar fight is going to be a close one and will go the distance. I hope edgar wins but it will be close

1. I think Edgar will win and hopefully Aldo goes up to LW

2. Edgar is always the underdog!!! (maybe not one of the Bendo fights, can't remember) How can he be so overrated then? He deserved to be P4P #2 since he was fighting/beating/finishing guys that were bigger than him and isn't that the whole point of P4P discussion?

i don't see how you can say he is overrated, most people don't rate him that highly. Jose Aldo on the other hand is overrated, most have him forth on the P4P list but who has he ever beat that is that highly ranked of a fighter, make no mistake edger is the best fighter aldo has ever faced.

Finished Hughes and Serra beat the crap out of Fitch, Penn and Alves his conservitive style really didn't start til the Hardy Fight.

I agree. He has been the least dominant champ. He's 1-1-1 with Gray. He barely beat BJ the first fight(arguable) and did very little more the second time. He lost to Ben the first fight and only did "enough to win"(his own words) the second fight and was surprised he lost(I did give him the second fight though)

Comparing him to the other champs and saying he should be top 3 or even 5 p4p is crazy. Anderson and GSP are top 2 because they have completely dominated and outclassed opponents. Same with Jones as much as I dislike him. JDS hasnt had near the problems Frankie has either. Aldo has had a couple tough wins but besides that has looked like a killer in there. Cruz has even has a pretty easy time beating all challengers.

I don't think there is any way you can rank Frankie up there with those guys.

His heart and conditioning really have brought him a long way. And not to take away from his great boxing/ footwork, he's just not up there when thinking p4p skills. Maybe dropping to 145 we'll get to see a more dominant Frankie, but personally I think Aldo is going to give him another loss.
