My ranks (and the only that is correct...;))

1. Condit

2. GSP (Will be no 1 after beating Condit tho...)

3. Diaz

4. Hendricks

5. Kampmann

6. MacDonald

7. Ellenberger

8. Bahadurzada

9. Erick Silva

10. Jon Fitch

A pretty stacked division actually... Anyone 1 through 8 can realistically be a beltholder sometime during 2013-2014, imho...

My top 10 list isn't based on fickle wins and losses, but on who has more skill, and who I think is more likely to win a mma match if they were to fight in a few weeks time.

Ellenberger and Alves are both ahead of Kampmann, they just got caught.

1. GSP

2. Condit

3. Ellenberger

4. Alves

5. Hendricks

6. McDonald

7. Koscheck

8. Fitch

9. Sanchez

10. Kampmann

Nick Diaz is not in my top 10, because he hasn't beaten anybody in my top 10 list, and he also has never beaten anybody who was at the time on any top 10 lists.

Well GSP has been inactive, hence not being on the list

If you think about it, Condit is obviously No. 2, Diaz is is possibly No. 3 and then Hendricks and Kampmann would be the next two since they are fighting for No. 1 Contendership, and since koscheck only closely lost to Hendricks, it's not that crazy to have him at No. 5/6 (he's probably even with Ellenberger)

Interesting to see that Diaz is still in a lot of lists' date=' even though he's retired. [/quote']

That's because people take Diaz' retirement about as seriously as Favre's 3rd retirement.

It's hard to pick a top 5 for this division because there are reasons not to put all the top guys on there. This is probably mine, in order:

GSP is clearly #1, but he's coming off an injury and a very long layoff

Diaz is #2 but he's a stoner, suspended, and "retired", and does too many dumb things to cost himself fights (in and out of the cage)

Condit hasn't beaten anybody (no, running away for 5 rounds and getting a gift decision is not "beating" anyone)

Hendricks and Kampmann haven't fought enough top competition.

Fitch and Koschek can't win title fights

Only based on what I've seen so far (So Erick Silva has to wait a while):

1. GSP

2. Condit

3. Diaz

4. Rory

5. Hendricks

6. Fitch

7. Kampmann

8. Kos

9. Ellenberger

10. Sanchez

I excluded Nate the great just because he's not in the UFC (yet). He'd definitely be a top 5.

I excluded Maia as well (since he only fought once), but he'll earn his way up the list very quickly, I have no doubt.

In any case, WW (as opposed to past years) is becoming very interesting and stacked with talent.
