Yah I have known bout this for a min but didn't know the date

He's been training with rashad Evans for a few years now...they are good friends

He's friends with Ray Lewis aswell...he's not a wrestler but he's strong as **** and I'm sure his shot does not feel so nice so I thinly spongs TDD will be more prepared then any other cross over Kickboxer

Only question is how much of a noob on his back is he:(

It's all going to depend on his TDD.

I like MMA first and foremost but I take it your straight Muay Thai/Kick Boxing.

I love mma but equal to less then straight grappling and striking. There are so many techniques lost or butchered when people come to mma. Jacare is one of my favourite grapplers ever but his mma ground game doesnt show it. CroCop was a fun to watch in k1 but in mma his whole aresenal was either straight punch or head kick.

Spong is one of my favourite kickboxers and watching him devolve his game to fit into mma will be painful.

IMHO specialist that transfer from their art to mma is saying they arent the best and cant beat the best in their own art

I don't believe anybody in MMA (even the best of the best) would be in the same position in straight striking/grappling.

You have a point' date=' but I don't think it apples to all fighters.

Look at Fedor, he's still winning Sambo competitions to this day.[/color']

I used that argument before, and this forum strongly disagreed. I say the very best wrestlers, the very best boxers, stay in their sport, no reason to move to another sport.

Super pumped about him coming to MMA, he has been training for a long time so its not like he is going to come in and just get taken down by everyone. Im sure Rashad has been teaching him plenty of TDD. Would be cool to see him take on Gilbert Yvel or Anthony Johnson, if he takes out one of them then the UFC should pick him up.
