I think the UFC is a mess at the moment

We have all the UFC 151 bollocks, an obvious coward/ cheat/ pedo/ drink driver/ fake christian, liar HW as the LHW champ, Edgar and his relentless title matches, a super slow HW division, these little people that no one cares about/ weak division, injuries, duckers, **** stain trainers, corrupt cards (Brazil), weak cards etc.

I don't understand how it's all gone to S so badly in the last year or so.

I hate when champions are constantly in title fights... Plus, who else was going to replace Koch? FW is a dead division with no contenders. Edgar is head and shoulders over every fight that isn't Jose Aldo in that division.

Apparently they asked Lamas for the fight and it was gonna happen but then they must have obviously asked Frankie

People are complaining about Aldo vs Edgar?

What has this forum come to?

can we some how flip the cards?

have the guys that are payed the least as a main event sure it would not bring PPV buys but it would be a hella exciting as those guys always bring it as soon as the go into a higher pay bracket the action slows down alot.

obviously impossible even the thought of a fight bonus does not seem to get the fire going under some fighters asses

You mistook my meaning. I meant relentless as in he's always getting similar results in all of his matches... like he's stuck in a time loop of predictability with no end in sight. :(

I bolded the portion of your post that most baffled me as well. Aldo/Edgar is actually far and away the most anticipated fight for me currently scheduled. The Edgar/Bendo fight deserved a rematch because of how spectacular it was, and the rematch was just as thrilling. I can see how people might object to him receiving a title shot in his first bout at 145, but let's remember this is a guy who's a true Featherweight that's been fighting, winning, and championing a weight division larger than him. He dethroned Penn, the man almost universally considered as the best lightweight fighter ever, then fought him again and was bouncing around when Penn was gasping for air. He split Gray, then KO'd him. And followed those four fights up with two back-to-back awesome bouts with Benson. Half of his fights over the last 2 years have been FotN winners, he's scrappy, and he's finally fighting in his proper division. Throw those ingredients in with Aldo, who is easily one of the most exciting fighters to watch in his own right, and you have the makings of potentially another Fight of the Year bout to put on Frankie's resume.

Even if Frankie didn't fight in a "Title Elimination" bout - can we not all agree he is probably the best contender against Aldo? I mean UFC has stepped pretty far out in the past in terms of throwing "rankings" to the wind in place of putting together the more exciting or marketable bout, but on this one, I think it not only has the most potential in terms of excitement, marketability, but truly there is sound argument to be made that Frankie should be the #1 contender at 145, even if he's lost back to back Title fights at 155.

Sorry mate, that is crap. Edgar is boring as F. I agree he is Aldo's best contender, but he's still a boring pointfighting annoyance.
