Catchweight fight: 195 pounds: Anderson vs. Jones....name it "THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER"

Look, every intelligent fight fan on the planet knows that GSP is no longer in the top 2 p4p. It's EASILY jones vs. silva at this point. GSP has been barely squeaking out victories for a long time and ducked the fight vs. silva for 5 years.

So the UFC was originally all about determing who is the ULTIMATE FIGHTER. There is NO EXCUSE to not make this fight.

Silva cited not wanting to go to 205 because 3 of his teammates are there and does not want to hold up the belt by not fighting them. Problem solved...fight at 195...Jones is young and adventurous enough to cut the extra weight. Since he would probably be the betting favorite, him cutting weight would make the most sense to make this a fair fight.

So let's make it happen! The match to end all matches...the winner of the p4p debate settled right in front of us. They're both not booked, book it now!!!!!!!!!

Jones would not make the weight lol

I have never seen Jones have issues with cutting weight similar to Rumble...if anything, he always comes to the weigh-ins on weight. So I don't see why this would be an issue...just give him a few extra months to cut it and 10% of the purse

Ya'll act like he has trouble cutting weight' date=' he came in at 204 against vitor, maybe even 203.[/color']

He doesn't cut a whole lot, contrary to what people believe here. At first, he didn't cut any weight, at all, and he only cut 15lbs for Rashad, while some dudes out there do twice as much.

If you don't think 195lbs is doable, you're an idiot.

If you think 195 is do-able for Jones without losing any muscle mass, you sir are a full blown retard! There is only so much water a guy can suck out of his system

man, ufc fans got soft (or just are afraid to admit that their goldenboy silva can lose)

this is cage ****ing fighting!!! you have 5 extra monts to lose 10 pounds for the title of best fighter on planet earth!!! these guys don't get where they do without an insane amount of work.

the problem is, everyone here just sits behind their keyboard and criticizes. if you worked 1/2 as hard as these fighters do you'd respect them and not criticize them because they "outsize" their opponent. the truth is jones has the work ethic to get the championship and he definitely has the work ethic to cut TEN WHOLE POUNDS!

i don't know, maybe i come from a different school of thought. but i remember ufc 1 when 450 pound guys fought 170 pound guys. the idea of not being able to fight a guy over 10 pounds just seems ludicrous.

just book the fight and stop with excuses. this is the only fight that any fan should want to see

^ This

1. JBJ has stated his interested in moving up becasue he doesn't want to be miserable cutting weight.

2. JBJ has about 3% body fat at weigh in time.

3. And has lost most of his water already. (For proof look at #1)

4. With no fat and no water to lose ten lbs you need to lose muscle.

Who said he wouldn't have to sacrifice a little muscle mass, numb nuts? He would obviously have to tweak his diet and weight-lifting schedule leading up to it. That's what fight camps are for; you design it around the conditions of the fight and your opponent. He wouldn't train for it like a regular LHW fight and that's the point.

If Anderson could make 168lbs, Bones can get down to 195lbs. Jesus Christ, it's only a 10lbs deviation from what he's used to.

more than 10lbs

he cuts from 230

25 pounds plus 10 lbs = 35

quite a bit to lose just for one fight

10 lbs is alot when you've mastered cutting to 205...

Gray Maynard isn't making 145 anytime soon

Aldo isnt making 135

So, Jones should have the luxury of having youth on his side, size and strength advantage, as well as home court privileges in his own division?

He's also a big guy who doesn't cut much as it is and carries a lot more water weight than a smaller dude like Maynard.

It's a P4P fight and it will be a CW if it ever happens.

Well what youre talking about will never happen numb nuts! The guy is already skinny as hell at 205 and should be focusing on adding weight with his tall and lanky frame! His legs are already toothpicks at 205 so he pretty much would need to lose all 10 pounds of muscle from his upper body! This is never going to happen as it would be much easier and more practical for Anderson to hit the gym and eat some more burger king to gain the ten pounds needed to level the playing field!

Some of the dumb **** people say on here just floors me.

He may walk around at up to 230, but Anderson even walks around at up to 220. I guarantee you that he doesn't finish camp and start cutting from 230lbs during fight week.

And like I said, you design your camp around the conditions of your fight, so he won't need to cut from his regular LHW weight. That's what a diet is for.

Exactly! Also, "The Ultimate Fighter" would be a stupid name for it, it's already being used for a bunch of nobodies.

CW is most fair and Jones isn't gonna die from cutting 10 extra pounds, you mongrel. He'll design his camp around the conditions of the fight, watch his diet, and avoid heavy lifting. If you think that's impossible, just give up on life. Silly *****.

Jones is already talking about maybe making the move to heavyweight tard. So for one fight he is going to go backwards?! When Silva has already fought at LHW 3 ****in times?!

Your mom should have swallowed:rolleyes:

Yea' date=' because it's a P4P fight and they're both champions in their respective divisions. At 205, Anderson would feel like he's treading in the territory of his training partners and would never agree to fight for the title. And it would be stupid to have such a huge fight at 205 if it wasn't for the title. It's a one-off thing for both guys and it would be worth it for everyone involved for the sheer glory, historical importance, and gargantuan paycheck.

Your mom should have swallowed:rolleyes:

Why, you want someone to relate to?

Why?! Who gives a **** about a belt? Now you guys are contradicting yourselves! This fight is to see who the best of the best is right? So what the **** does a belt have to be included if the fight is at 205? But at 195 no belt is ok?

And who says Anderson can't just vacate the title for "his friends" and retire if he were to win anyways?

Youre just making yourself look more stupid the more you talk. You should know when to just stop but as I said before... You've gone full retard.

205 would be for the belt because there's something called a LHW Championship, you troglodyte. A CW fight would be the logical middle ground where the two champions from each division compromise to decide who's P4P.

And Anderson winning the title and vacating it would be just as disrespectful to his friends because it's like saying, I can win the belt here and you guys can't. He's very sensitive to that kind of thing. He wouldn't be up for it, period.

I know you're mad cuz you feel bad about your mother's sexual kinks, but don't take it out on other people.
