megaman
I'm personally a fan myself. I love him as a fighter, all I really wish is that he would shut his mouth more often quite honestly (there's an article right now on the front page of mmaunkie where JBJ is saying "I'm not a bad person", if you're not a bad person Jon, don't just say it, act like it, I believe he is a good person btw), he talks way too much for such a young fighter and beacuse of the constant spotlight on him he doesn't now how to handle it yet. With that said, the hate is huge and relentless and it's pretty much everywhere... So I was wondering, is he already the most hated fighter ever in UFC history? Or is he still runner up? Sisti
Not even close He's done the most EVER at an early age...basically he's the first guy who truly has not best bested by an opponent and FINISHED legend after legend Because of this, he has the most attention He basically was the mr. perfect figure for a while who took out a criminal the day he won the championship. Now he's just coming to reality and seeing that there's always some adversity at the top (because everyone wants that spot)

G__row
I have always been a fan. Still love to watch him fight. Keep in mind, I had cage side seats for 151. Once in a lifetime kinda thing. I still went to Vegas for ten days, and had a great time, but it was disappointing. Matt Hughes, Bisping, Rashad, now we are talking. I do not "hate" any of them. But those I do not care for.

MetatronBJJ
He'll be fine. He's just going through a rough patch. This guy will be with us for at least the next 10 years so we might as well get used to him. It's fun to talk **** on him and all that, but I believe he's a good guy. I was twice as bad at his age. Everybody has that friend who is a little socially awkward and says crap at the wrong time that gets under your skin. That's all Jon is except he has the spotlight on him. You see guys like this in other sports all of the time. He just stands out more in MMA because we aren't used to seeing it in this venue.
Sisti
Everybody has that friend who is a little socially awkward and says crap at the wrong time that gets under your skin. lol that's actually a funny analogy i think jones is the guy who means well he just says the wrong thing i have a feeling that he will be a huge fan favorite once he lets go of caring about this so much. you have to realize that he's still extremely young and may just be handling the media wrong. but yeah, i could think of a lot of worse people in this world, and really have no issue with a guy who is extremely successful but doesn't always say the right thing
SirRender
I think Brock Lesnar takes most hated, at least over Bones anyway.

He has made mistakes but who hasn't. I think most of the way he acts is a mix between being socially awkward and immature. He actually reminds me of a friend that I have. He can be annoying at times but is not mean spirited at all.

I'm an Eagles fan so I "hate" the Cowboys. In reality I'm not going to wish any harm on any of them though and respect the hell out of them for being professional athletes. Some of the people in these forums come across as having more than a "sports hate" and that's a little scary.

Stryker99
Like many on here, personally I am a fan of Jonny Bones. I had thought throughout much of his young career, he was very well liked. He is a very hardworking. He speaks of his faith in God, good wholesome stuff. Sure he got a DUI, and wrecked a car. Is it because he chose to not fight in UFC 151 ?? If so, then talk to Dana White. He wrote the contract !! If Dana White wanted him to fight in UFC 151, it would've been written into the contract. The UFC fights have become so watered down, the one fight cancellation can end the whole card, well that seems another problem that JBJ did not create. Many people just love to hate, I understand that. But I'm seeing people emotions swinging like that of a little girl.

It's out of control in these forums and it's not just directed at Jones. MMA especially in the UFC is so unique. There are hundreds of different personalities and that's one of the things that makes it special. There isn't one guy I dislike.
DerkJitsu
It's hard to say. I think that Jones is clearly a great fighter, but his personality is one of the worst. I mean, Jones claims that he is a man of God, that he believes in having a humble personality, etc. etc. However, he then completely contradicts himself with his actions. Jones even makes statements that seem as though he thinks of himself as a divine entity. It's hard to just write it all off because he puts on great fights. Afterall, the personality of a fighter is in fact a part of the show. I think that Jones should just shut up and fight, because the dumb crap that spews out of his mouth clearly irritates fans. If Jones really wants to be humble then he should take notes from Machida.
creepZzZz
He's great at using his phisical atributes like no other. There are other fighters that are tall, lanky etc and no one has managed to pull it off. He is a great fighter but a fake, egotistical, arrogant S.O.B. Is he the most hated? Dunno, but he is def the most talked about (either good or badly)
StompGrind
Probably so and he seems to have taken a liking to the heel role because he makes an idiotic comment now almost daily where before it was only weekly.
