BlackBaron
So... I've been reading multiple threads of GSP bashing considering his recent comments on Silva. GSP has 22 fights, 13 finishes, 2 losses. 17 Fights in the UFC, has fought Shields, Alves, Penn, Hughes, Fitch, Koschek, Trigg, Hardy as the best names under his belt. GSP has officially lost 1 round... maybe 2 with the recent shields fight. P4P means most dominant fighter in regards to their weight and compared skills to other fighters. 2 rounds. Plus those were extremely close, but otherwise. I'd also like to add champions quote " defend their title" quote "title defense" not title offense. If a fighter can't quote "take the belt"? Well.... he is not a deserving champion. So anyway just like to hear some comments and pick a poll option, and we can debate about this? However, look at fitch, koschek, shields, hughes, penn, and whoever else after their fights... GSP is extremely well rounded, well shaped, and maybe if these guys gave him no respect they'd win. BTW GSP VS CONDIT, I think we all know Condit will get destroyed, it's going to be a wrestling, then gnp then tappage by Condit to angrily hungry GSP. I predict 1st round stoppage. So anyway if he doesn't want to fight GSP why do people care? Look what happened to Roy Jones after he went to heavyweight, destroys certain ppl's bodies. Anyway thoughts? Yesterdays_Hero
Anderson has definitely been more dominant.

MetatronBJJ
I think he gets the UD over Condit. As far as dominant champs, I think he is number 3 behind Jones and Andy due to the Serra loss.

As far as dominant champs' date=' I think he is number 3 behind Jones and Andy due to the Serra loss.[/quote'] No, Jones is definitely not above GSP. Jones has defended it three times, GSP has already defended it 6 times. I'm kind of disappointed nobody is mentioning Aldo. 1. Anderson 2. GSP. 3.Jose Aldo. 4. Jones I don't know why Aldo keeps getting overlooked. IMO is above Jones. If you include his two wec title defense, he's defended his belt 5 times against the best guys: Faber, Gamburyan, Hominick, Florian, Mendes. Mendes and Faber at the time being the clear cut #2 guys and most dangerous threat to his title and he absolutely dominated then. Not to mention Florian is a tough fight. Really I don't see how you could rank Jones in front of Aldo. Granted, Jones has had 3 great title defenses against top notch guys. But Aldo's been champ for a few years now and has dominated. Pengu
LOL people actually think GSP can stop Condit. My p4p list goes as 1.Anderson 2.GSP 3.Aldo Would have Aldo as number 2 but I think he needs to defeat a former champion to get that, but it's close simply because he finished his last fight with ease where as GSP is winning 3 out of 5 rounds against Jake K1 Shields. I still have Andy at number 1 with Jones right on his heels.
fisk
GSP dominant? Not anymore than Matt Hughes, Tito Ortiz or BJ Penn, tbh. - the most dominant champion in the UFC is Anderson Silva. End of.

He has like 10 title defenses and has never once given up his belt.
UB41
Good thread..GSP is definitely more "dominant" then Silva...Silvas more dangerous but GSP more dominant.
munkie
Which is more dominant? 6 defenses, 5 decisions - 1 finish (against a lightweight) or 10 defenses, 2 decisions (both of which he just ****ed around) - 8 finishes? I don't give a **** if the argument is that GSP spent more time in complete control. If you are truly dominant over someone, you don't waste your time with controlling him, you get him out of there and move on. That simple. Silva is clearly the more dominant champ. MMAJess
How can GSP be more "dominant" if he doesn't finish anybody? Since fighting for the title, Silva has 5 1st round finishes and 5 2nd round finishes. That's the definition of dominant. By the way, how come people who make these polls are never aware that it's possible to have a split decision?
