Sisti
Is silva just resting now on his past and wanting to secure his legacy by not jeopardizing himself vs. weidman or jones I remember a time when silva was so invincible he could have taken out anyone and was the obvious number 1 p4p, but now i feel like he's avoiding weidman and jones. No disrespect to Silva (his fans always jump down my throat), but I do think he's no longer number 1 p4p simply due to the fact that he's too old and people like jones are much more near their prime as well as the fact that they represent the new wave of mma athlete Anyways, I still get super excited for every silva fight, I just would have rather seen one of his last fights where he's not too far out of his prime to be a test like shogun or jones
hasopasha
why the eff do people think weidman can beat silva wtf and btw jones ducked silva andy offered him to fight at 151 and jones ducked btw this fight is gonna be awesome
Sisti
because weidman is undefeated in his career and just SMASHED munoz. he has a much better chance than the 14-7 bonnar who just beat kyle kingsbury by decision bonnar's best defeat ever was against jardine and that was a long time ago

megaman
While I agree that in terms of P4P Silva and Jones are very close (one has the quantity of wins the other the quality of wins). Silva is in no way resting on past deeds by going up a weight class and fighting one of the biggest guys there who by all intents and purposes is on a 3 fight winning streak. megaman
link? There isn't one' date=' beacuse although he did offer to fight at 151, he was willing to fight against any LHW [b']except[/b] JBJ.

Sisti
That was all I wanted to say though, people get way too defensive and don't feel like hearing a bunch of that right now, so I am excited for this fight still...i do like silva and hope he takes it WAR SILVA

Everyone else in that division was either going to be fighters that make no sense in Silva fighting them (Glover, Gus, Davis they're all rising guys in the division it would be pretty stupid to throw them in there with Silva), or just fighters that are easy wins for Silva.
