Love MMA and Boxing:) I think it's a lot more sink or swim immediately in the UFC in most cases. Max Halloway was 4-0 making his UFC debut, got put up against Dustin Poirier, a top 5 FW. Junior dos Santos was 6-1 making his debut, got put up against one of the top HWs at the time, Fabricio Werdum. Look at Brock Lesnar too, if someone of his stature came into pro boxing, they would give him twenty easily winnable fights to milk his marketability before giving him a legit opponent. In MMA? Fought a former champ in his second fight.

ParaffinAlien
Of course MMA fighters have a more mixed result pattern. MMA is paper/scissors/stone/lizard/spock. Boxing is paper/scissors. There are far more potential outcomes in MMA therefore the results will naturally be more varied.
