Fighters who are ovrrrated because of one win

Recommended Posts

Respect Belcher a lot and he's my favorit fighter' date=' but i think his win over Palhares does not make him top 10 yet like a lot of people think.[/quote']

if anything Belcher is under rated.

Lesnar was Overrated against his own good. He's the baddest man on earth who was never given a chance to hone his skills. Had he been given more of an Opportunity to rise through challenges he would've had more experience as a whole. Instead he proved to be so good they rushed him so fast and he did it, he took over the UFC but while other people like Cain and JDS and Carwin were given easy no names to knock around He wasn't. A Brock Lesnar with maybe 8 pro fights before his title fight would still be champ today.

back on topic

Randy Couture overrated for cuddling Ortiz and knocking out a drugged up ice man

BJ Penn overrated for choking out an untrained unmotivated Hughes

Nick Diaz overrated for hmmm, I'm still not sure why he's so overrated.

Anthony Pettis A kick, one kick, that didnt even finish the fight

Weidman overrated for beating an unmotivated Jiu Jitsu specialist

GSP

Got a "win" over the LW champ and all the sudden he's P4P

What a joke

He was highly respected before that fight sir also considering the last time BJ had fought for a WW belt he won it in less than a round.

It was a pretty big deal at the time. Strange how fast mma fans forget the big deals of yesterday.

Big Country

Yeah people talk like JDS dominated Cain. He landed an odd looping temple shot that wasn't that impressive. I don't like to say he got 'lucky' but he certainly didn't show me anything special in that fight.

he showed me how to punch someone in the face, that he was aiming for mind you, and knock them out cold. Cain got lucky it took Jr. so long to get his timing down IMO.......

i don't think so, bleacher report has him as top 5 mw, which is crazy. His last 4 wins, 3 guys were coming of losses and Palhares was still without a big name win. On top of that Alan is the only man to lose to Akiyama in the UFC, it happened a long time ago though

Cain Velasques. His only quality win is Big Nog who was comming of a loss and long layoff.

Got dropped by Kongo multiple times, has a glass jaw and is really bad closing distance.

Beating a champion and taking his title might qualify as a "quality win."

Getting a TS after 1-1.

3-3 on UFC is a quality win?

Come on. Mr.Turtle is the Matt Serra of HW, isn't a quality win.

What I learned from half of this thread:

Everyone who is not undefeated is a can.

If you beat someone who is undefeated they must have simply been a can crusher.

No one in the UFC is good or has the jewels to fight anyone good.

Correction this is not something I learned only from this thread but half the forum.

Diaz' date='beats a mentally challenged Daley and every white hood thinks he is Mike Tyson.[/quote']

That was the first Diaz fight I ever watched and I could tell he would be one of the greats
