I hope people realise that a champion always having to fight the best fighter dosent work

The reason gsp fights a dan hardy or silva fights a Thales Leites is because if they fought the true no. 1 contender every time then gsp would've fought Fitch about 5-6 times by now and the silva and chael sonnen feud would still be going on into like their 4th fight.

 

So that's why sometimes we get a mismatch style fight is because they have to match them up with opponents for reasons other than the fact they are most deserving. Hence stop complaining about Diaz vs st pierre, ufc know what their doing, they don't want us to get bored with this stuff.

Becasue we've all seen GSP vs Hendricks...oh wait, no we actually haven't.

 

There's generally 4-5 guys "in the mix". When these top guys face off, it generally creates a #1 contender match for the WINNER. Kind of like Condit vs Diaz did.

 

The loser generally has to go back and win one of these types of matches to get back in that position(how it should work anyways).

 

So, what's jacked up with the Diaz match is that Hendricks did exactly what he was supposed to do to get that title shot and Diaz hasn't yet.

Hendricks is the exception to the rule because he's a new contender, but if he didn't knock out Fitch I'm sure Fitch would be in line as number contender right now... Again as with Koscheck again

The only reason Diaz got the fight with GSP is because GSP demanded this be his next fight.
