button_man
as long as aldo, edgar and zombie is in FW,he will a be a gatekeeper.
button_man
Being a top 10 fighter in a division doesn't mean you're a gatekeeper. Retards are running rampant these days. not being able to get the belt, means you're a gatekeeper. you're really good on insults in the internet. Galvanik
not being able to get the belt' date='means you're a gatekeeper.[/quote'] So... everybody but the champ is a gatekeeper? Please tell me where you learned MMA terminology. P.S.: Poirier will fight Aldo in 2013, calling it.
BruteDion
A top fighter...damn talented But a future champ I don't think so...every champ needs that one skill to fall back on where he is the best at...he can he out struck by a few guys and he can get out grappled by a few guys...what keeps him at the top is his well roundedness...no one can out strike AND out grapple him in the same fight it seems...but that will not win him the belt If he gets the it skill what ever it is...then he will be a champ no doubt...he's young...it still can happen
OmoGOAT
Don't know if anyone else saw Fightville on Shotime, but I was very impressed with Dustin's focus and dedication to training. I believe he has all the physical tools and a solid mental approach, he just lacks the championship polish that comes with experience. Definitely one to watch. Ansem
lol he's way overrated, there's not enuff talent in that division for some to think a cracker like Poirer is actually good.
StompGrind
I think he's always going to be in trouble with top fighters because his striking and wrestling are not that strong. His striking is coming along but to me it looked almost like he took a step back but that could be because Brookins got better, nerves and something to prove from KZ loss and a new camp. He's too aggressive sometimes, leaves his chin up at times and his defense/counter striking game could be a lot more developed. He kind of has the same issue Cain does. It's too fast blitzy upright combinations with not much weight or momentum on it and almost no broken riddem. If he can learn to mix in some fients, broken riddem and heavy head/body takers so even if it doesn't land on the perfect you can still get them to turtle, they'll still take damage and lose balance. His jiu-jitsu top game is very very solid though.
Jbrahams
One of my favourite fighters, the Zombie fight was perfect for him, the right stage of his career for it to happen, he was able to learn so much from it (plus main event a card, put on an awesome fight, and get more recognition) I think if he just gets a bit better at striking (Zombie rocked him a few times, Holloway actually looked like he had his number and he showed horrible defense against Brookins) then he really can contend for that title!
