Trollsmasher
Source: Constantinos Philippou on Anderson Silva: "I don't want to fight that guy. Are you kidding me?" At least he is honest lol, but I don't think he will ever become one of the top middleweights. He lacks the takedown defense, and Tim is gonna expose him on Saturday no question about it

Yesterdays_Hero
They've paid him big money to pretend he's scared so he doesn't dethrone one of their cash cows.

Manho
Great. I like CP a lot because he has lots of potential. But if he want to be a can crasher for the rest of his MMA career then that's his choice...
zaksame
Phillapou is a bum,i noticed that first round versus that JPN fighter. The other guy was considered an absolute can when comes to striking, yet it was the other fighter initiating the striking versus this so called Olympic boxing cast off. When you are considered a top level boxer and are afraid to engage with a guy who has no striking skills, then how serious can i take you as a MMA fighter, when you have little confidence in your bread n butter and ONLY skill? TheUnicorn
If he is really scared he clearly shouldn't be a fighter

Higher level strikers tend to learn really fast you can't just start throwing combinations and unloading the kitchen sink on people. You have to pick your shots and if your not intiating takedowns yourself and not real confident in your TDD then it holds your striking back as well. That's why good wrestlers who are decent at striking and blending it can outstrike better strikers in mma even elite ones because the elite striker is soo concerned about being taken down and it throws thier timing/distance off and makes them hesitate. I don't expect you to know this though.

He is fun, I like his posts.[/quote'] Probably because his post are often pretty aweful. He writes whole paragraphs with like 10 points and only one is actually solid while the rest is rubbish. He almost always has that one really solid point that tells you he clearly knows more than the average fan then he ruins it with 9 other horrible points. It's almost like he does it on purpose;) I've got nothing against him though either way, it's all in good fun.

For me its nothing wrong, its just different. I am familiar with people who don't always speak sense too, its just different chain of thoughts than with average "sensible" person. I really hope he won't get completely discouraged, because he is who he is. Zaksame WAR ON ! Cheers.
TheEntity
i hope Costa said that as a joke. Even the worst can at mw should fight Anderson if asked, it's a big opportunity and there's always a chance to win. Saying stuff like that is worse than tapping to strikes

Zak is a big boy and i don't give him a hard time too much and even if i do i explain why i disagree rather than insulting him and anyway it's good to have opposing points of view as it offers an oppourtunity to reason why and actually offer something to the discussion or even spawn new discussions and ideas. As for ridicule and discouragment i actually feel bad for Cruz. That guy can't even post without getting spammed with JDS TKOing Cain. lol

I think JDS will smash him again. I also wouldn't mind seeing JDS and his more diehard fans getting a reality check.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA he says he needs to stay away from the cage so tim cant get his hands on him. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA he says he needs to stay away from the cage so tim cant get his hands on him. He basically admits hes afraid of tims strength and G&P amazing take down defense BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA It actually is. He has displayed it in his fights. He has showed amazing TDD, balance, and has good hips. He is powerful, thickly muscled guy who has technique behind defending the shots. I can't even recall him being threatened by a takedown. Yesterdays_Hero
Canderson would tap to strikes if he fought Constantinos and Alan Belcher. Yeah... maybe if he fought both at the same time... but still probably not.
