Who's ready for Cormier vs Jones?

Lets see if Cormier can cut first' date=' he has that liver/kidney problem that means he cant cut for the fights, he will have to work his way down for it to be very close to his walk around weight. May take a while, he is a big boy.[/quote']

that happened years ago and not an issue anymore. He knows its a diet issue and they have been planning for over a year for the best strategy for his cut to 205

seriously, why are people still stuck on this weight issue? he cut to much to quick and suffered for it at the time. his body has healed and he isnt as naive about weight cutting as he once was

He still has to work his walk around weight down to have any hope... You are acting like doing kidney damage is just a rebound injury, its long term, and while it isnt debilitating it is still going to be a factor every time he has to cut. For a guy constantly in camp working hard his body doesnt show him much love, so it is going to be a fair bit of extra work for him to get into the LHW ballpark before he even considers cutting... its not going to happen overnight.

I am acting like i have actually read what people have said about it. Cormier has addressed this a lot recently, said it isnt an issue anymore and the camp know the best way to cut the weight by being healthy. do you think he would have said that if he didnt get the all clear from a doctor? do you think he would have said to Dana he could make 205 if he still had health issues? do you think he would risk his health for a shot at Jon Jones, knowing that Jon Jones is gonna step up to HW soon anyways?

he cut to much weight to quickly years ago, and the body has healed. you know, the body can heal over time

Would certainly be a great fight. Don't really know who I would bet on, but I don't think we should count Jones out.

He is a young talent which haven't really shown how he plays his game under pressure yet, other than that not-so-good first round against Lyoto which wasn't much, and that armbar from Vitor.

Cormier on the other hand is more of a monster, but older and have problems with his weight and won't really have an seize advantage anywhere over Jones more than his belly. And chickenlegs.

I am pretty sure Jones rather gets wrestled than smashed in the face by him, and I think he could seal the deal on the ground if he works hard on his jits primarly
