Diego Sanchez vs Anthony Pettis

The stand up favors Anthony heavily but Diego could maul him on the ground. He won't be as tentative as Guida and will attack with some real GnP

Yeah but Pattis has been working alot on his wreskling......

He did well against Stephens who is as inconsistent as they come even in the mid/low tier.

Diego UD. Pettis would wreck him if the fight was to take place on the feet, but it wouldn't. Pettis is still pretty good on the ground but I think Diego could do what Guida did while actually attacking, instead of just holding position.

Diego would knock him out cold before any real strategy would need to come into play.

Frankie is the Jake shields of UFC

No. Just no, he may be a point fighter but he is not a one dimensional lay and pray fighter. He has a boxing style with great takedowns, anyone who can take down maynard and bendo at lw, especially someone who weighs 15-20lbs less is impressive.

As for Pettis/Diego I have Pettis, I think the Guida fight taught him a lot, I hope he beats Cerrone and get's a shot at Henderson.

Pettis would kill Deigo come on man everyone knows that...... B-)

No

Warewest sorry but you will soon find out that the only one that was truely overrated was Nate Diaz...... B-)

:-q

Title shot > No title shot

Staying in the ufc and getting a title shot > getting cut from the ufc, then coming back and getting two easy title shots and blowing one of them

Yes, let us praise Frankie for narrowly winning the title, then narrowly defending it thanks to the graces of judges.

Then losing it by a landslide, crying for a rematch, losing by a slim margin and then having the audacity to complain about judges scorecards.

You mean winning by a large margin (4 rounds to 1) and complaining about the judges score cards.

Really, he has beaten BJ, Maynard, Fisher, Griffin, and Sherk while fighting at his natural weight, that is not impressive? Also he should have won the second decision against Benson and I like both of them.

I think it's funny when someone shows no respect for a former or current champion, they obviously did something right.

BJ Maynard and Griffin were all either close robberies, gift draws or blatant robberies (with Griffin)

when frankie spends his career robbing decisions then gets 'robbed' by Benson he had it coming to him. Judges cant be on his side forever.

Then Frankie's hypocritical reaction tops the cake - after riding the judges jockstrap for decisions he could have lost for the majority of his biggest fights he throws a tantrum when he finally loses one of those close decisions.

Frankie got accustomed to judges siding with him - his loss to benson in the rematch was well deserved.

Okay, close calls or not he still beat guys that outweighed him in most match ups and became the LW champion. Anyone with a 14-3-1 record with the 2 losses being close and being a former champion is obviously a very good mixed martial artist.

fine fine.... hes a good fighter, I admire his heart.

Out-strike, aggressor, octagon control, knock down Benson.

and considering it was contested on the feet, out striking him is really the only thing that mattered.

Theres no doubt Frankie won the secomd round. But from then on it was all Benson landing the better and more effective shots. Aggressor, octogon control!? Lol.. his jersey shore dancework can be misleading. He can move around like that all he wants. Thats not being the aggressor. Bottom line here is if you cant tell me how Frankie decisively won 2 other rounds here than how is it a robbery? Close fight? Sure. Robbery? Not even close. Fights like that the champion should be favored the majority of the time. You want to be the champ BEAT HIM.

Yeah, Frankie was robbed. He clearly deserved to win and the judges gave the fight to Benson. = Robbery.

That whole "you have to beat the champ" thing you always bring up is stupid. You don't have to do anything different against the champion than you would any other fight.

Benson won 9/10 rounds with Frankie. He dominated him twice. Deal with it.
