I'm guessing she's going to get compensated far more than she's ever gotten paid for any fight ... and probably more than she's made her entire career combined

Remember Lesnar/Carwin ... repored pay was 400,000 Lesnar (no win bonus) vs 40,000 for Carwin ... guarantee Carwin got ****ing paid

That was a big PPV, and Carwin is someone that people knew. If Carmouche wins the belt, how do you sell a PPV if she headlining it?

I know Carmouche gonna make more that 12/12, but i see them just giving her 24k for losing

i make my living with promoting festivals and concerts, and have been fortunate to work with very known bands and artists. there are two ways of paying your artist. first one is so called flat fee, and 2nd one is so called guarantee vs. 80% after break even. (80% may vary).

let say you need 2000 sold tickets to cover your costs. everything you sell over 2000, the artist gets 80% of that + guarantee, and promoter gets 20%.

i can imagine that they use same business model in UFC.

this could be also reason why GSP fights only in montreal...´cos he knows the capacity of the hall, production costs etc, and it is easier for him (his management) to control break even and their after break percentage.

same with other champions.

i am working with some artist that are major big, and you won´t believe me how exact they control every aspect of a show. no matter if it is indoor arena show, or open air. they know their ****.

so i would say...in that case ronda will get 75k (+75k wining bonus) + % that depends on sold tickets and ppv. same with other fighters, but of course main card fighters get the biggest share, and undercard gets only flat fee.

It makes me question why the first womens fight in UFC history became the main event.

cos women sell tickets?

this is also reason why we rarely get more that one top fight at the same card.

UFC knows that they will sell out arena with one top fight and few good fights. there is no point to put more top fights at the same card cos they won´t sell more tickets. they can sell only that much... and therefore it would be idiotic for them to pay after break share to 6-8 top fighters instead of paying break share to main card only.

Do women sell more tickets then the best men? I doubt it.

i give you right on this.

but, it does not matter to UFC. what does matter, is to sell out that place.

same arena, let say 15000 capacity can be sold out by card with top fighters, and also card with some decent fighters.

if they do arena with 40000, or as they wanted to do stadium in rio, than this is different story...they need strong card.

anyway... i just wanted to give my thoughts on those mysterious payments that fighters receive. i am pretty sure that they make a lot more than that.

i am sure JDS and cain made each more than 1000000€.

what they published (i think 400k JDS and 200k cain) is just guarantee.
