That's exactly why we need a playoff.

 

If they had an 8 team playoff, 4 teams would be from the SEC. Them it would end up where a certain team would get an easy path to the final, like Alabama last year. Last year Alabama didn't win their conference, didn't even win their division within the conference, but got a free pass to the national title game while LSU had to play a conference title game before a rematch with Alabama. With a playoff, maybe South Carolina wins it, and no way they deserve it.

That's how a playoff works. The Giants already won a Super Bowl after re-matching the Pats. If you make playoffs, you have a chance. Besides, if you're playing all the too teams, you're more worthy then a Notre Dame team playing all cupcakes.

That's how a playoff works. The Giants already won a Super Bowl after re-matching the Pats. If you make playoffs, you have a chance. Besides, if you're playing all the too teams, you're more worthy then a Notre Dame team playing all cupcakes.

 

There are over 100 college teams in the top division, so it's not the same as the pros. Are you saying the Giants deserve to be allowed back into the playoff next week? Obviously, no, but that's more or less what happened for Alabama last year. It would be like giving the Giants a free pass to the super bowl.

Huge ND fan... and No I did not think they could put up enough points to beat bama. But I did think their defense would keep them close.... The team we seen play defense last night was not the same team I seen play all year. I will give offense to Bama's O line tho.. they did the work... And ND was un-officially credited with 18 missed tackles yesterday on run plays. You wont beat anyone like that.

They honestly shouldnt have been there...but thats what ESecPN wanted... Until BCS is gone it will always b fukd up - I believe there should be an 8 team playoff - but its all about GREED

ND could not match with Alabama because they haven't faced any team this year that matches what Alabama had speed, strength and talent-wise, on the football field. It's a completely different beast when you go against teams from the Southeastern Conference.

Current system they did belong there. And that's why they were.

 

Playoffs will be here in 4 years.

 

Out i the final 4 teams. ND, Bama, O, Kstate. I think ND only beats Kstate.

Alabama lost to Texas A&M 24-29.

 

The big thing should have been Notre Dame's defense which would have made the game more competitive. But, Notre Dame's defense was overrated all year, which happens when you face lesser quality (speed, strength and overall football talent) teams in your schedule.

a year long online relationship with a woman with a fake pic and would call and text him all the time, that pretended she was dying then died, then called him again and said guess what im not dead then he finally realized he was scammed. it turned out to be a guy, so i guess he must of pretended to sound like a woman or had a woman call him and like she was dying of leukimia

He went with the route of rather choosing to look like an idiot, than reveal he's openly gay. No one can be this stupid, though, while having phone call conversations that he alleged were happening.

 

Most typical college players can get girls whenever they want on campus. If you are going for the Heisman, you should have your pick of any girl on any campus. This guy is gay. There's no doubt about it and he's just completely covering it up.

 

On a side note, plenty of funny memes about Te'o already. From Seth Meyer's twitter:

The only reason why he would be open to an online relationship as a football player is the fact that the kid is Mormon.

 

Believe It or not if the kid is a devout Mormon, he would wait and not be attracted to a bunch of floozies at ND. I can understand that since I feel the same way, when I met my wife, no other girl was anywhere near as attractive or interesting as her.

But he also had an interview where he said "she is not only the most beautiful women I have were meet on the out side but in"....unless they arranged a **** or a fake girl to meet him he's still a lier

 

So its either the most well thought out prank ever and he really had a online GF lol...or he's a lier

Actually, it makes complete sense. Let me explain - I didn't have time last night.

 

He is Mormon and he went to a predominately Catholic college - Notre Dame.

 

There's only a few reasons why a person would have an online relationship based on his situation (star defensive player on a college team that gets massive television exposure):

 

Because his team gets massive television exposure, the reason he did what he did was not due to publicity/fame.

 

He was already a Heisman candidate and was going to go as top of the NFL draft, so money wasn't the issue.

 

That leaves two options left: He's the biggest idiot on the planet or he's covering up that he's gay.

 

If you look at the article on deadspin.com, it goes on about how he had conversations with this person for a lengthy period of time.

 

Here's why he's not an idiot on why Te'o is in on the hoax, aka cover up - because he chose to "kill off" his "girlfriend" with leukemia. This "girlfriend" is basically just an actor... a smokescreen. He didn't want her to be killed off in a car accident, a shooting or anything that wasn't out of natural disease causes because most people wouldn't dig deep into that as far as investigating it.

 

This person who was playing as the "girlfriend" was a close friend of his from high school. Do you think he's going to be up front and tell everyone he's gay when he is MORMON and goes to NOTRE DAME (predominately Catholic college)? He's playing the clueless card, but why would he invite his close friend from high school - who played his "girlfriend" to his Notre Dame games?

 

No active NFL player has openly stated that he's gay while playing. There's always been male professional athletes who would admit after they stop playing that they are gay. Manti Te'o is gay and does not want it to be uncovered.

 

Either way, this guy's draft stock is free falling because he's admitted in being probably the biggest moron on the planet.

He also said he knew her for either 3 years be4 he dated her or 3 years total I'm not sure but he also said he has had time with her in person so there was contact at some point

 

Also his family said he and her both payer a visit to them during the off season...so that means his family was also in on it

 

It's one of the biggest hoax in sports...and he and his family were part of it

 

That does not mean they were not the starters of it....he could have been a victim to start with...but at some point he had to know this was all fake...and when thay happened he played along for the media

can someone fill me in on what happened...they are talkin bout this dude on ESPN like its the end of the world? is it really that big of a deal...i dunno what happened at all but i know the media likes to put athletes and celebs on blast with their personal lives thats no ones business or a big deal really...so much drama just for a football player? fill me in please?? :-/
