tuf1_
http://www.mmaweekly.com/michael-bisping-im-destined-to-be-world-champion “It’s like if you’re a boxer and Floyd Mayweather’s saying ‘that’s the guy I want to fight next.’ That’s a huge compliment. It’s the same with Anderson Silva. He’s saying they’ve got their eyes on me. He obviously recognizes the talent, he recognizes the threat, he knows it’s a marketable match-up. It’s a fight people are going to pay to see,” said Bisping. “It’s very complimentary and it’s a testament to what I’ve achieved and how hard I’ve worked in this sport.” delusional spits is delusional
Yesterdays_Hero
I really hope Bisping can beat Vitor. I just want to see Anderson toy with Bisping and then beat him with some flashy move Seagal will take credit for.

OzPride
the man is clearly dillusional. What will he say IF Vitor crushes him in seconds or snaps an arm? If he is actually looking past Vitor then I pity his wife for having to look after a vegetable afterwards.

Look at Fitch vs GSP, Jon took a pounding yet still feels he could dethrone the champ, JDS took a battering from Cain yet will walk into the 3rd fight very confident

Look at Fitch vs GSP, Jon took a pounding yet still feels he could dethrone the champ, JDS took a battering from Cain yet will walk into the 3rd fight very confident 1) Fitch would get Fitched by GSP. He knows it. 2) JDS also knocked Cain out. 3) Both of these have an arguement, that at least one component of their skill set could provide some threat to the current champ. JDS has lights out power. Fitch has raw strength and a grinders heart. Spits sole power is his self belief. No power in his hands. No high level striking. No supreme wrestling. No BJJ. He has no threat to the champ. He may get past Vitor with a boring decision but Silva. Just no.
britishranger
Yeah but its ridiculous that Bisping can take the abuse that he does on this site when he has been stopped once and has only lost 4 times to four top fighters! If this he was an American or a Brazilian he would be considered a serious challenger in the MW division

Hopefully Vitor teaches him some humility, a good clear beatdown would do the spits a world of good and he may finally be able to return after that as the 'good guy' for once

HEAVYD2117
Thing is what if Silva aint the champ when/if Bisping gets his shot. I'm pretty sure even if he beats Vitor he'll have to fight Weidman when he gets back from injury, that alongside the fact that Anderson doesnt defend the belt that often could mean he wont get a shot for at least another year, thats if no one gets injured. Anderson may have retired by then in which case Bisping has a real shot at getting the belt in an eliminator against any other middleweight. However I agree with most people in the thread that if his shot does comes against Anderson he's in serious trouble

kyo_sa
yeah what other mw has he fought though..whats his best win, brian stann? bispings a hard worker, self made fighter, good on him. theres no one else anyway, and people do actually want to see him fight anderson, which is funny because a large portion of those who want to see it , want to see it to see him get murdered which will surely happen
britishranger
Okay so I have decided to stop biting on this forum and will not defend Bisping any more, Its not because I am tired of defending him its just that in 5 days he will defend his own rep with his fists knees and elbows, The world will see a dejected Vitor Belfort looking worse for wear and the world will see Bisping being named number 1 contender so my comments have no bearing on the matter...............AND NEWWWWWWWWWWWWW

If this he was an American or a Brazilian he would be considered a serious challenger in the MW division It's true, Bisping has always took a serious amount of abuse on forums. Crazy enough, this is actually relatively little abuse compared to how people talked about him a couple years ago He has a legit career...there's no denying that. He has one definitive loss ever (hendo) and he suffered for that more than enough lol. It was seen at the biggest UFC event ever and has been talked about countless times. So that leaves the guy with a great record, extremely few blemishes, and he actually seems to be getting better. People outside of the U.K. are giving him less of a chance than he has and people in the U.K. are giving him more of a chance than he realistically has. My honest opinion is that Vitor and Bisping are hands-down the 2 best guys at MW and no one will be touching them for a long time. I feel that one of them will eventually be the guy to beat Silva, but it will only happen once Silva seriously declines in skill
