megasoup2
Well, it is. I couldn't remember what email I used for my old profile; I was always able to log in by simply commenting on a status, which would initiate a prompt for me to enter in my username and password. I wasn't able to do that with this new site. Whatever. But this is still me, and it's kind of appropriate that I have a new username because, truly, I am a new version of myself. A lifetime ago, I would log on to the UFC's website and read it's articles and if there was nothing new, I would read things that were posted on the forum. After a while, I opened my own account. That was a little over three years ago. A bored convenience store owner made his internet forum debut. Later, I wrote something that could almost be defined as a book. It was the first time I ever did that. I addressed my store and how I was closing it. A little over six months passed by with nary a peep from yours truly, until I began venting about my marital problems, what would soon become a divorce. This wasn't met with too terribly much sympathy. C'est la vie. It's been a couple years since those posts. Time flies. So, here I am now; a different version of myself, for better or for worse. My name is Ben Taylor, but you can call me Megasoup.

megasoup2
The boxing career never took off. I had 9 fights as an amateur, losing four close ones. I took 2 MMA fights, winning one quickly, then losing a hard fought one against a guy debuting who tore through the next nine guys before taking his first loss. I never was that great, but I wasn't that bad and one day, a couple years after I had my last MMA fight and probably close to four years since my last boxing match, I swung by an old ****ty gym so I could hit the heavy bag and maybe get some sparring in after getting ants in my pants after going to a couple local shows. An old coach of mine said he could get me some pro fights and that sounded really appealing. So, I trained and took a couple more ammies, sandwiching a loss with two wins. But I've been promised a fight for money and as a single father, those small amounts that these shows offer would be helpful. But my coach kept having issues with getting me a fight. I can do anything for so long anyway, I get bored of things. I may get back at it soon; because of my age, my window is small for this. It would be great for enhancing my perceived ability to talk about things regarding boxing or MMA.
