Trollsmasher
I definitely think Weidman is a tough match up for Anderson because of wrestling and ever improving stand up, but idk if he will get a title shot this year. If Bisping loses to Belfort does Weidman get the next title shot? or u think he has to fight once more to establish himself as the number one contender? I can see Lombard passing Weidman if KO Okami in impressive fashion. ultimatefightingchamp
I think Weidman wouldn't get a title shot without another fight. I think AS wil only defend his belt once this year against Bisping or Lombard as you said. I love Weidman though, amazing fighter and a class act

Los_Polo_Hermano
Weidman was already scheduled for another fight against Tim Boetsch that he pulled out of due to injury. He needs to fight again before getting a title shot. I'm a fan of Weidman and hopefully he does get a shot at the belt.

Junglebird
With so many non-legitimate title fights happening right now (Sonnen, Edgar, Diaz, Melendez) purely based off hype and name-value I dont understand why people wanna say Wideman needs the shot right away with almost no draw-power to his name. The same people who defend these 4 title shots will complain about wideman not getting his shot when he has so-called worked so hard and earned it. Wideman probably has earned a shot more than Diaz, Edgar, Sonnen and Gilsquirt, but that isnt saying much. I'm looking forward to his next fight. The way these 4 gimme-title-shot have been given out I'm surprised Anderson isnt already fighting Bisping - based on his name, or Lombard.

britishranger
He beat Demian Maia who is a fantastic world class jits player but not a truly world class MMA fighter, He beat Jesse Bongfeldt Hmmmm, He beat Tom Lawlor again Hmmmm, His one good win was against Mark Munoz butthats one win, So lets see he is 9-0 and only has two names on his record Maia and Munoz both of whom are not what you would call Good strikers so does he really deserve a title shot ahead of the guys who have been slogging it out in the division for years getting good wins and putting good records together

Edgar and Sonnen, not really. Diaz, not really either, because he's coming off a loss, no matter how controversial. I think Melendez TOTALLY deserves it, there's not any other fighter at LW that deserves it more

Lmao Beating a 100% Munoz isn't even impressive. Munoz is a can. He would have wrecked Sonnen. Chael is so easy to takedown, even Maia threw him around. Munoz dominated Maia. I kinda wanted to say that Munoz was not a genuine contender but held fire to stop people from getting butthurt in support of Weidman so thanks for getting my thoughts across >-

Junglebird
The only champ choosing who he fights lately is GSP "i want nik Deeaz" Wideman should worry about getting healthy and winning a fight instead of thinking he's better than the GOAT
