JChristian522
I was looking around the internet looking for a few submission that I wanted to see and found that some haven't been done at all in the UFC. Can you name a few? I got omaplata and gogoplata.

cashflow
Dustin Hazelett def. Tamden McCrory via omoplata at UFC 91. Nick Diaz caught Takanori Gomi with the gogoplata but it was overturned because Nick smokes way too many PEDs. My favorite UFC sub was the Twister. You'll never see that again. I think Aoki landed a gogoplata from the mount one time. That was in Dream, not UFC though.
Pigs-On-The-Wing
Aoki hit a gogoplata in pride and a mounted one in dream.

Diaz' gogoplata was also outside the UFC

Pigs-On-The-Wing
after watching the gif it was a reverse armbar. not a omoplata.
Centurion480
Dustin Hazelett def. Tamden McCrory via omoplata at UFC 91. It technically was not an Omoplata lol wiki has the McRory win listed as a reverse armbar.. derp derp The wiki you saw was correct. The technique used in the Hazelett-McCrory fight was a reverse armbar. Reverse armbar attacks the elbow joint; the Omoplata attacks the shoulder. They are 2 different submissions. Sephiroth388
I'm pretty sure Jeremy Horn had a gogoplata position on Chael Sonnen in the UFC, but also had an armbar at the same time, and that's what Chael tapped to.

cashflow
I stand corrected. It was a reverse armbar. Just rewatched it and it looked like it hurt like hell. Hazelett flattened his arm out right at the end to get the tap, but he had McCrory in the omoplata for a good 30-45 seconds before that. Nice finish. Dreamah
I might be wrong, but didn't frank mir hit omoplata? Or did he just use it to reverse and turn it into kimura? hmmh, I'm blanking here.

Frank defended easily, and went for a kimura for the finish. That's probably what you're thinking of.

xFINISHxHIMx
Remember Bob Backlund's Chicken Wing Crossface? His submission is a vicious submission.... He does not have his hands together coz obviously it's fake ****, but if you hold your own wrist, you have a shoulder lock and a choke... Try it at home but be careful it hurts (Kids don't try this at home ) )

Centurion480
how about a wristlock ? That would be cool but small joint manipulation is illegal in the UFC.

cashflow
Really. Put him up against Melendez and see how he does! He'll do fine. Much like the last six of seven fights, Gil is going to see the final bell. He ain't finishing Aoki any time soon. To stop Shinya, you gotta dive down into that guard. Good luck with that. KingNothing
Not something we will never see, but I remember Nick Pace pulling off a completely unorthodox submission where he choked the guy out using his forearm somehow. Joe rogan was appalled. I'm pretty sure they called it a pillory choke and we haven't seen one since.
