lol you're going to get flamed by 'Murica

 

but I'll grant you that it's down right retarded if the week break is b/c of Memorial Day.

 

1) I bet half the GoT fanbase isn't even American or even observing the holiday

 

2) The holiday is Monday, (not Sunday)

 

3) The people who observe Memorial day and watch the series would more than likely do both anyway.

 

I think this is more of HBO (or the show-runners) making us wait a week to see Viper vs Mountain

The real bull**** is there's only 2 episodes left. **** that! I need more then 8 episodes per season dammit.

Is there 3 left? Good. Idk why I thought there was only 8 episodes, guess it feels like Games just started.... Still 10 episodes is not enough. I want an ongoing Game of a thrones for 6 months straight.

Agreed, Around here Memorial Day is a very popular vacation weekend. Most people are heading to the lake from Friday-Monday. If they aren't doing that they have family grill outs or meet up to do something fun all day Sunday. The holiday weekend would definitely hurt the shows ratings and they would get a ton of hate from people who don't have DVR's.

 

That being said I was busy all weekend but would have been a lot happier relaxing on the couch yesterday watching Game of Thrones than whatever ****ty movie I watched.

so in essence you are saying the stopped Game of Thrones for the average Australian Sunday?

 

In Summer we get UFC prelims starting at bout 9am... it means I have to be up by 7 to get a decent pre-game in

in canada bars were open at 4 in the morning for the olympic gold medal hockey game. alot of happy drunk canadians roaming the streets at 7 am ill tell ya that

 

if they were to ever cancel a big hockey game or shut down the bars due to an american holiday, we would probably riot. it happened a couple years ago for game 7 canucks vs bruins when they shut down the bars early all across the city before the start of the game, and sure enough, they rioted. though they would have rioted either way, they just would have been alot more drunker.
