LOL Duffee dead

Recommended Posts

Mir looked **** wicked tonight.

More like Duffee is a next level can.  He absolutely sucks and I can't believe people thought he was going to kill Mir when he's beaten 3 cans in the last 3 years.

These ****ing heavyweights man, they're keeping 1994 alive

.  The whole sport has evolved except for the Heavyweights, it's still a freakshow.  Awesome to watch, though...

Mir always does this. Destroys some can after losing to everyone that matters, followed by his fangirls pretending he's still relevant.

Check out the gut and tittay's on Murr.

Both former TRT users but one was on it when he was 24 years old and now he's face down azz up unconscious in a minute against a shop worn veteran.

Duffee... might as well retire m8.  This **** clearly ain't for you.

It's good to see the evolution of Mir's technical striking game.

Fair play to him though, I'm never sad to see one of the old guard get the win.  I hope the UFC don't get carried away and put him in with a top 5 though; it will not go well.  Keep him for fun, novelty fights like this.

LoL That fight included zero technique from both fighters. It was a trading of wild hay makers back and forth until one of them fell down unconscious. I didn't think Mir's chin would hold up, but he surprised me.

Lol, exactly.

Actually the biggest credit I gave to Frank was in his post-fight he basically took the mick out of himself for saying he was going to be the more technical fighter and then just winging wildly for 2 minutes.

Couldn't believe Duffee was the favourite even Russow knocked him out. If I knew the odds before hand I'd have put a bet on.

not a Mir fan at all but that KO was pretty savage.

Dude has only lost to killers since 2007 or so

He also hasn't beaten a single killer since 2007.

The 1st Nogueira fight was pretty impressive.

Modern Mir has only really lost to champs or title challengers.

Nog hasn't been a killer since Pride.

My gripe with Mir fans is people act like he's still a top tier fighter. He's not. He's just not. His time as an elite is long past.

Sure he's a vet and there's always a chance but he's not really getting better with age he's getting WORSE. There's a point where a fighter is physically going down so rapidly that all that experience and minimal improvement in skill just isn't enough to compete with the top of the food chain and honestly i don't see his skills improving much if at all to compensate for it.

If you put him against ANY top tier elite fighter you can bet the house he is going to lose and it's a safe bet he will lose every time.

Don't hate because Mir destroys your favorite fighters.

LOL The UFC paid Duffee 12 thousand dollars and reebok threw him an extra 2500.

Duffee died for less then 15 grand.  This is terrible.

How could they do that to him?  I mean I guess 14,500 is okay for a minutes worth of work.

Conor and Honda are stealing all the money now.

Todd Duffee died on live cable television.  Hopefully Dana mails his mother a check for 500 bucks to make it an even 15 Gs

Is Dana on steroids?

Maybe twinkies, but not steroids.

That would've been a better picture.

Definitely.  Lets look at this objectively.

1. He's old.  He can't last 5 rounds no matter what, because he's old.

2. he has very little way of winning, except knocking a mother****er out.  That doesn't take long, usually.  If it takes too long, he himself is going to get knocked out.

3. It's Heavyweight, you can weigh 265 on the scale.  So you can be massively out of shape.

4.  The other fighters at heavyweight, in many cases, are all fat, out of shape, and it gives them stronk

So why in the world would he even TRY to be in shape?  Just be as heavy as you can, you're only going to be in there for about 60 seconds anyways.

I'm more worried about the shirt he's wearing. Our friendship is forever gone, CF.
