A bit of a summary to get you up to speed:

Richard Osborn-Brooks discovered two intruders at his home in South Park Crescent Hither Green, south-east London, on Wednesday 4th April.

One of which Henry Vincent 38 who was armed with a screwdriver, there was a struggle in the kitchen and the suspect was stabbed. A witness said Vincent's accomplice Billy Jeeves dragged Mr Vincent toward a van before leaving him for dead.

Mr Vincent was named and pictured by Kent Police in January as part of an investigation into a distraction burglary.

The 38-year-old was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead at 03:40. (now obviously this is always horrible but its hard to have a massive amount of sympathy for a mid age guy robbing someone nearly in there 80's.)

A few days later Osborn-Brooks was bailed. While that should have been the end of it things have carried on from there. Now family members & friends of began to cover the fence and surrounding area of his Osborn-Brooks home with flowers and other tributes turning the area in to a small shrine. This has caused massive tensions between the family and the surrounding neighbours as many of them feel its insulting to have a memorials up on the fence of the man who's house he tried to rob. The constant back and fourth between the two groups has forced police to keep units in the area until things calm down.

The latest as of today is that it appears Osborn-Brooks will never get to return to his own home as removal men have turned up and emptied all of his and his wife's belongings in to a van.

Since the attack two weeks ago Mr Osborn-Brooks, 78, and his wife Maureen, 76, who suffers from severe arthritis, have been staying in a safe house under police guard.

I have been following this for a bit now, absolute ****ing disgraceful end to it, how they can be forced to have to leave is beyond me, no doubt his family are all dirty ****ing council estate junkie wankbag bastards. It really is in situations like this I can understand why America lets people have guns (Which I am against but understand).

This is so backwards. Yeah let's memorialize a petty burglar that played with fire & got burned but kick a man to the curb for defending himself.

Those removal men should have given him an award. The family should have invited him over for brunch and apologized for their idiot sibling.

The family are Pikies from the looks of things, they are also the ones putting the flowers and **** up. I don't think the old couple got kicked to the curb, they possibly just moved, but they 100% should not have.

Forgive my ignorance on what exactly it is that removal men do in England but why would they show up if he was just "moving" as you say?

Removal men move his stuff for him   He pays them to do it

Are they government workers? Or is that the term for people that work for moving companies?

I was confused about what exactly they are. I saw some article one time about removal men taking some dudes stuff because he didn't comply with some kind of law or something of that nature. i.e. like if you don't comply the "goods" police AKA removal men can come in and take yo $hit is what i thought they were.

Go figure, chit hole England.

Bubba gonna be mad America is looking better than England once again.

Livid. We still make better crumpets than you guys, that's the main thing.

Tbh, in the crazily pc world we live in I'm just glad the charges were dropped against the pensioner. If that had gone to court it would have been an outrage.

It was an outrage they took him into custody in the first place.

The dead idiot's family are truly low life scum bags making death threats and the like.  Their "angel" got stabbed in self defence while in the act of a burglary/home invasion but he "didn't deserve to die".  lel,

Just so our American cousins are aware the family of the dead scum bag are Gypsys in fact we would describe them as Pikeys that are lower than Gypsys. They're fake Gypsys.

The local community have, on a daily basis, torn down the floral displays ripped up the flowers and burst the balloons. If you read about the whole family they are all career criminals that prey on the elderly and weak ripping them off  and stealing from them.

The reasons why the old guy is staying away is due to the potential repercussions from the Pikeys only, they will have the support of the locals and beyond. Pikeys are lawless, lack paperwork and don't pay taxes. Its easy for them to commit a crime and never be found again.

Snatch ain't a to bad interpretation of em i say they're more Gypsy coz they do move around the country. These scumbags will stay on 1 site or even houses but stick to their traditions. This family truly are lower than a snakes belly.

"....Long record for targeting elderly victims and served several jail sentences. He was said to be well known for carrying a screwdriver as a weapon. In 2009, he was jailed for six years after charging an OAP £72,000 to replace a single tile on his roof. Vincent, described in court as a drug addict, told the pensioner his roof joists were rotten and showed him maggots as proof.Police named Vincent in appeals about a burglary in October 2013 and a fraud in November 2016.And in November last year, he was sought over a distraction burglary in Farningham, Kent, when a 70-year-old man’s jewellery was stolen. The victim was tricked into letting a woman, who claimed to have been assaulted, into his home. A stolen white van pulled up outside, its horn was sounded and she left. Also wanted over that crime was Billy Jeeves, 28. He is suspected of being with Vincent on the night he was killed.Jeeves was one of three men caught trying to steal a car in St Mary Cray, South East London, while posing as policemen — unaware that the men in the car were plain-clothes officers.Seven relatives from Vincent’s large traveller family were jailed in October 2003 after conning pensioners out of £450,000.But last night his family asked to be left to grieve. A woman at the family home said: “Things have been twisted.” I say hopefully the knife that entered his stomach.

Some of our laws are a joke. In this case if the old guy had kept a knife, bat or whatever tool by his bedside, just in case, he would likely have been charged as it's seen as premeditated. The fact he was caught in a scuffle and grabbed the nearest object to defend himself is why it's seen as ok in the eyes of the law. Fook that we should have every right to defend our land, property and family.
