cashfl0w
https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/canada-to-apologize-for-turning-away-ship-of-jewish-refugees-fleeing-nazis-1.3921334 In a well-received speech to a sold-out Jewish fundraising event, Trudeau said the decision by Canada to force the German ocean liner "MS St. Louis" to return to Europe was a blight on our collective past. "An apology in the House of Commons will not rewrite this shameful chapter of our history," Trudeau said. "It will not bring back those who perished or repair the lives shattered by tragedy. But it is our hope that this long overdue apology will bring awareness to our failings, as we vow to never let history repeat itself.".... Their recent support for the terrorists in the Middle East makes so much more sense now. The Canadians of the forum should take a break from bashing American presidents and maybe try to straighten out their own toilet of a government. A huge step forward would be electing an actual prime minister, and not some idiot who had the last name you liked.

Lol. Actually, i do think sometimes other countries should mind their own business a bit more. I'm perplexed that thousands of unwashed youths are getting giddy at the prospect of Trump coming to these shores so that they can "protest". What are they protesting? That they don't like the president another country has elected? Have a wash, get a job and protest more meaningful things. In Romania they're holding protests because their government are legalising governmental fraud up to 50k Euros. That's worth protesting. Not just that you find someone's views a bit offensive.

The problem is that people who were slaves, tortured, acts of genocide against over 100 years ago cant get an apology from the proper people. I didn't do anything to these people so why should I apologize. They were running a story about one of the generals supposedly calling Trump an idiot (said general calls it fake news, unsurprisingly), and just so they could stretch out the story, they covered any name that anyone has called Trump since before the election. lol Real in-depth reporting coming out of them.

Bubba_Sparks
Yeah....I was abroad last week, so I watched CNN "International" a bit while waiting for the football to start. CNN's idea of international news was to talk for 40 minutes about that Doctor's report so they could get a string of people to come on and wring their hands at how this had far-reaching consequences. The BBC isn't that bad, but we pay for them via our licence fee (don't ask...) so it irks me a lot more that they're so blatantly biased.

Bill Clinton, Barak Obama, and Hilary, have in the past all espoused identical views towards immigration as has Trump. In some speeches the rhetoric used was almost word for word. Yet the same dumb ****s who would protest Trump would probably welcome those three with welcome arms, lol. Probably yourself, Juice plus a few Ben Shapiro videos have given me a much greater appreciation of the complexity of the problem. You're right though, neither side trusts the other so won't budge. It's infuriating. On one hand, you'll have Democrats proposing bills to ban bump stocks or magazines of a certain quantity.. Then on the other side, Republicans will not ever acknowledge that America does, indeed, have a gun violence problem because that makes them feel like they're giving up ground in the debate. In all reality, most shootings in our country are done with handguns, and those shootings are done with stolen firearms. There's a variety of ways they end up stolen. Some are outright stolen in home burglaries, some are bought legally, and handed off to someone else, and then reported stolen. If we cared about the gun violence, we would strengthen sentences on any gun related crime, including straw purchases. I personally know stories about locals who shot someone, one even killed a guy he claimed was going to rob his house (despite the guy being outside the house), and been out on the street within three years. That's the real problem. You shouldn't be able to get the right lawyer, and then plead to some ridiculous crime that is nowhere near your actual offense. Our district attorneys are waaaayyyyyyy too concerned with their success rates. They avoid trials at all costs to ensure they get a conviction in the case. I could probably continue with things that are wrong with our justice system, and need to be repaired if we ever want to fight crime, but it doesn't relate to OP. So I'll save it for another time.
