Just when you thought that things couldn’t get any crazier during a fight week after UFC 223’s incident, reports of a scary situation have been brought to light.

UFC 224 takes place this Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and ESPN’s Brett Okamoto has reported that several UFC employees and associates of UFC 224 were held at gunpoint near the event’s host hotel, the Windsor Marapendi.

"Just spoke to UFC president Dana White about an incident that is apparently ongoing right now in Brazil. White was just told several employees and others associated with UFC 224 were held up at gunpoint near the host hotel in Rio. No one hurt. Police involved now."

"Some UFC employees definitely involved. Have not heard of any fighters involved as of right now (weigh-in is tomorrow morning). Those affected arecanceling stolen passports and credit cards. White told me security footage is being pulled."

Fortunately, it appears that no one has been harmed and police are working on the situation.

UFC 224 will be the UFC’s first return to Brazil since UFC Fight Night 125 this past February when the UFC dropped down in Belem for Lyoto Machida vs Eryk Anders in the main event.

God damn man probably best they didn't send Colby over there right now. They'd probably be mailing one of his finger back home as we speak.
