Thank You Supreme Court!!!

The Supreme Court invalidated the federal prohibition on state-sponsored sports betting (PASPA). It is now up to the states to decide for themselves on the issue, in the same way they choose whether to offer lotteries and other forms of gambling. More than a dozen states introduced sports betting legislation early in 2018. Connecticut, Delaware, Mississippi, Pennsylvania and West Virginia join New Jersey as the states furthest along in the process of passing laws to regulate sports betting.

It looks like here in WV it's gonna be run through the lottery commission.

If they make it to where I can place bets in the same locations where you can purchase lottery tickets instead of driving an hour to the casino that would be perfect!

A lot of places have services like paywave. Things like that take forever to adopt nationwide due to size of the country.

NGFH in Florida. Orlando Mouse Ears and bible thumpers in the Northern half of the state won't allow it.

**** that.

Mickey **** Mouse is taking over the world!

He will create the biggest gambling empire around! Vegas will be forgotten about when he is done!

Its about dam time.

Going to Vegas cost too much money just to gamble legally especially if you live on East Coast like me.

May have to try out Atlantic City once they get all their operations going now. Only reason never visited because you could not bet on sports which is what i do.

I’m old enough to remember betting shops when they were an extension of the pub. The pubs used to close at 2pm for the afternoon and everyone would go to the betting shop awaiting the pubs opening again. Hip flasks, a pack of smokes, couple of quid on every race. By five o clock you couldn’t see three feet due to the smoke. No electronic screens, the results would be written up on a board with chalk. No toilets. No drink machines. Lester piggot romping home, whole shop cheering.

It was very backward but great fun.

The federal law banning sports books is no more.

Yup, the USA needs more welfare bums, which they will surely get now that people can more easily throw their money away. Most gamblers don't have a clue what they are doing and then there's the addiction factor.

Goa mate

Back in Blighty at the moment though

We've bought a little place here in the UK as a security net for when I die so the missus can come back and not be homeless.

Just furnishing it at the moment then back to the 3rd world.

Kinda hope it passes in my state. Not so much for me as i don't really gamble but i feel like if it were legal there'd be less degenerates here.

Sounds counter intuitive but the psychology is sound at least for this subject. People gravitate towards prohibited things especially when someone tells them they can't.

I can tell you for certain that when I can just go to the casino and wager, I find myself betting on less random events.

I would never bet on hockey, baseball, chit like that, if I didn't have it available at my fingertips all the time.

People that didn't gamble before still won't gamble. People that were degenerates will still be degenerates. This doesn't change anything.

It's been a long time, but yeah I've seen some of his fights. Don't recall if it was Muay Thai though, didn't he also do contemporary kickboxing?

Yeah Karate & kickboxing was his main thing. PKA or something like that.

He fought some Thai's overseas at one point and got his legs raped. < He still disputes losing i think. I also think he beat a few later once he learned how to deal with low kicks.

At one point he was going around saying he was undefeated when there was footage of him getting whupped by thais.

Still a bad @ss and a legend. I had one of his books growing up and i was a fan along with Bruce Lee, Gene Lebell, the Gracies, other legendary kickboxers & boxers.
