most likely a rehash of a better thread already made

the vegas golden knights are about to win the Stanley cup, and at the beginning of the season the odds were 500 to 1, some lucky **** is about to get rich as **** off that

WTG recently made 1 grand also, I want photographic evidence of anyone's biggest winnings

mine is a mere 200 dollars, I only play roulette and I don't bet on sports (if you want to know why just look at my picks in the pick league)

i dont really gamble much and ive never been much for betting. i think ive been to our casino like 4 times in my whole life. ive walked out slightly ahead every time from what i spent but never by much.

the one time i did make some coin was back when we could smoke in there in a seperate room and it had all kinds of slot machines and i only came with like 40 bucks to gamble with and after bad luck on the virtual poker and blackjack machines i was down to my last 5 dollars so i sat down at this dollar machine called My Rich Uncle just stuck the bill in the machine and put it all down on one spin and it made some weird kind of line, like the division sign in math or something but it wasnt a straight line, so i thought i struck out.

then it wanted me to touch one of the faces on the screen so i did and it spun around a bit and i guess it landed on whatever face i must have touched

and then nothings happening for like half a minute and i figured whatever, some days im the dog but today im the hydrant and i was just finishing my smoke about to walk away and go home and then all of a sudden the machine started making noises and stuff and i see the credits go up from 0 to 344

so im thinking whatever. ill get $3.44 back from it and maybe ill just buy a beer or two and call it a day. so i hit cash out to so i can recoup whatevers left that i didnt lose, but when i seen the receipt it said $344.   I was like holy chit. that was alot of money for my broke **** at the time. so i didnt even cash it in yet. i took it and went and showed the ticket to my dad first cause he's always buying scratch tickets all the time and winning money on them and i never win jack chit on those so i showed it to him like in your face bro how u like them apples!!!   but yeah then i went back and cashed out and partied for like a week or two off that. it was great.

another time i won $40 off the hot hot penny machine. which was kinda like a jackpot i guess, for a machine that lets u bet as little as a penny anyways. i really didnt know what i was doing either. i was just there with a friend and his girlfriend having coffee and stuff, and i just thrown a couple bucks in there to play around with.

the other 2 times id lose $15 or so on a machine but then id pretty much make it all back from my last 5 bucks and i walked out like 50 cents ahead or something.

i know thats not much for winnings, but im not much of a betting man so i have to chalk those up as a massive victory for me like i conquered the casino or something. i have no real intentions of going back there to this day really. i can see myself getting too hooked on it and i dont want to risk my money on that sorta stuff.   i'd rather just play some poker with my friends and have a couple games at 5 or 10 dollar buy ins but all of my poker buddies have since moved out of the province and stuff

I won a decent amount for betting on Benson Henderson for the two bouts against Edgar.

Can't remember exactly how much anymore but i remember i was very happy after edgar lost to a decision twice.

Benson "win by decision" Henderson lol

Good times..

edgar won those js

Wife and I were at the casino for five hours Saturday and played steadily the entire time we were there, each betting pretty aggressively.  I came home with $20 more than I went there with.  Still a win.

I had Holm against Rousey

Bisping against Rockhead

This past weekend $500 on Reyes / Canonier inside Distance. I don't usually bet that much but I was loaded from the casino that day... Rode it out.

I hate 18 and 22 too.

yeah 344 bucks. probably the biggest take ill have in my life.  thats chump change to most gamblers i know. but if i can at least make anything ahead of what im spending, i consider that a victory. im not much of a gambler. i'd rather hoard what litle money i have to myself rather than go and risk it away i guess.

i never win chit on those roll up the rims either. sometimes like a doughnut or something.   **** i get alot of free fries playing mcdonalds monopoly though.  i won a bunch of remington electric shavers and some kind of a kit that goes with them from some safeway contest once. apparently they cost a fair bit of money but i only entered the raffle to try to win something else. i think i still have one of the shavers somewhere but the charger for it could be anywhere for all i know.

I was front row at UFC 186 in Montreal. I won about $1250 on a $3 parlay, and hit a ton of other bets. Made about $1800 that night. (I already posted the screenshots back then, Vert.)

Then I went back and creampied the broad at my hotel room like a champ.

no picks but at Holm / Rousey i hit a three fight multi that paid about $400 then let it ride on Holm KO @7/1 and took $2800 but it was on my mates phone so we split it.

on the card where all underdogs won myself and Sober put one on all the underdogs left after the first six had won and we recognized what had happened, I took about $1200 from that.

Here's a few with photos...

Bookie screwed the line up and made bank on Blaydes

when you bet 1k on 2/1 and it wins, you won 1k.

This is how you win 2 grand, son.

False. The total payout was 3k with 1k total in risk.

3k-1k= 2k profit.

Kapeech?

well thats not what this looks like, but american lines are stupid. just post the actual odds lol ffs

The actual odds don't show for a parlay lol there's no need to. There's the risk and win both listed separately. I think it's a lot easier to read than yours, I still haven't figured out your slips but I'm taking your word for them.

I don't bet....but I hate feeling left out.

So I'll tell you about my Grandfather.  In 1967 at his work place they did a sweepstake for the Grand National (the biggest horse race of the year).  300 people entered, and there were only 48 horses, so most people drew a blank piece of paper.

My grandfather drew a horse called Foinavon.  At least he had a horse, but at odds of 100/1 he may as well have drawn a blank.  However, to enter into the spirit of things, he also put a pound on the horse at the bookies.

This old nag was so far behind the rest of them that when they had basically a pile-up at the 22nd fence involving literally all remaining horses, they were able to trundle round it and ended up winning.  Gramps won £300 from the sweepstake and £100 from the bookies.  £298 profit...which according to an inflation calculator is the equivalent of winning almost £4k.

No betting slips as evidence I'm afraid, but here's a you-tube clip of the race instead.

we call a multi leg bet a multi. Because theres multiple legs and you multiply the odds to get the stake. I can see how that confuses you ;)

as opposed to parlay, which to my understanding is when pirates agree to negotiate terms under a banner of truce, OR when Roland of Gilead talks to anyone in the Dark Tower universe

whats to be angry about? The people claiming bettman rigged it are the same people that predicted vegas to come in last, no one had them doing THIS good

Never had any really wild ones.  Luke Rockhold cost me a total of $402 on $2 risk at UFC 199.  I had a dollar 11 pick and a dollar 7 pick.  I celebrated after the co-main event.  Then I shed I single tear.

Had several $200-300 nights on fights.  Recently had a $600 night and when Nate Diaz was +325 against Michael Johnson as well as Ngannou and Oliveira being underdogs against bums and Usman being -190 that was my best night.  $700 profit but I don't gamble with large sums of money.

Many years ago i played a lot of poker. One night, i got mad at my wife. Stormed out of the house and ended up at the local card room. Lost $300 in less than 30 minutes. Pulled out $500 more. 20 minutes later, I'm down to my last $100. Got pocket Aces. Played it out. Aces got cracked. Received the next hand, it was a solid starting hand. Fold and went to use the bathroom. Came out and jackpot hit. My table share was $1700.

Was on vacation.  My wife let me have $1500 to gamble ...after all, we were on vacation.  I won 1K from Reno.  Our vacation was not over.  We also made reservations for a 2 night stay at Tahoe.  I lost $2500 in less than 30 minutes.  Withdrew another $500 and lost that too.

LET YOU?  You should rethink your position in your marriage... if that's the case.
