I thought I did way worse last night. I must have forgot a couple of my picks.

When you get below 70% it is a bit*h to get back to it though.

IDYB will. His luck is bound to change.

yeah i aint buying that

my luck ran out after the first two cards. now its all gone to chit on me.    i figure this thing should at least clear 50% average but not if it keeps picking cans like anthony smith to beat a guy like jon jones.

mind you i almost got that. if anthony smith would have gave up after that illegal knee,  jon jones  could have matt hammil'd himself all over again.   wouldve been laughing real good if smith got that cause nobody else was dumb enough to pick him

after the last 2 or 3 embarassing failures, its hard to want to stick with the random.org list randomizer and it almost makes me want to trade it to one fc

yo decompoze can u create a random submission option on that site where u go to submit picks to the spreadsheet. or an option to black out the choices so i can just  pick random voting options but not see who im voting for?

Why dont you get a friend, if you have one, have the fight card pulled up so he can see it but you cant. You say one or two for each fight. Your friend, if you have one, then selects the first or second fighter depending on your answer.

Again, you're going through all this work to pretend you wouldn't get last place by simply choosing the fights yourself. But nobody is convinced.

Actually, I see a lot of potential in your randomizer. I feel like hes had a few fights not go his way. Maybe your using the randomizer all wrong. Instead of listing all the fighters at once, maybe do it fight by fight. Hell, maybe make the randomizer pick 1 or 2 each fight like I suggested above.

I cannot.

However, America has discovered this brilliant new way to perform a random selection.

I just now figured out how to read the overall standings. Am I an idiot?

Don't answer that. But the good news is that I'm only nine picks behind the leader. That ain't chit. RIP you clowns.

How do you think he's been enjoying 1st place so far? Although he started short changing me on payments (jew confirmed) so he's about to slide. Enjoy 1st place for the next few months until a new briber emerges.

Was it seeing skillandpower on bottom that made this all make sense? Most correct picks is the only stat that matters. I remember thinking wins and percentage played a role one year but that's just window dressing apparently.

Event wins should be a tiebreaker for final standings imho but that idea never skated.

with the way random.org has been treating me lately, i dont expect skillandpower to be on the very bottom for much longer.

i dont think that would end up working out any different, but ive decided to just stick with the random.org list randomizer the whole way through. it only takes like 5 minutes to get it all over and done with anyways. if i tried any other method it would corrupt the results of the experiment i am trying to run.

i just want to bash on this thing for the hell of it because as far as my tournament this year goes, this method is an absolute bust! ive already accepted failure in that department.

but theres 2 fighters in every fight. 1 fighter will win. so mathematically proven, each fighteer has 50/50 odds of winning before any other factor is taken into consideration.  but i want to know how that plays out in the real world. where you could just take the fighters, their opponent, their records, the vegas odds, and everything you know about mma and just toss all of that out the window and flip a coin instead. how close to those 50/50 odds should you expect to have if you simply just picked the guy at random?

im still a believer that i will hold out at 50% by the end of the year. if i do, i would be able to deem this theory completely plausible based on a large pool of results, and i would be able to conclude that it doesnt matter who is fighting who, or how many fights you are betting on, just flip a coin and put your money down on that guy, and you should expect to be right half of the time. theres your vegas odds.
