Chris Weidman is putting an abrupt end to his light heavyweight experiment.

The former UFC middleweight champion announced via social media over the weekend that he plans to take his next fight at 185 pounds and is targeting an April return.

He never should have attempted light heavyweight to begin with. Give him an up and comer or a MW journeyman (Tavares?). Surely if he gets blasted again from someone outside the top ten he'll hang em up.

Who's he looking to get knocked out by this time?

He's a very sad story waiting to happen and has been pushing the same schtick about quieting the haters despite never being able to quiet the haters.

This a good shout.

Give him either Tavares, Heinisch or Akhmedov. He can't get past any of them Dana needs to tell him to hang em up or go fight elsewhere.

I support his move to any division he's going to get KTFO in. I'll never tire of seeing chris and cody getting slept

Dude is so delusional and in denial that he will probably try to get a fight against Adesanya vs Romero loser lol or maybe even Rob.

On a serious note, I think Andy vs Weidman trilogy in some ESPN + card sounds reasonable

Join the team. The team of carers that will have to take care of a dribbling vacant Weedman at the end of his career.

Guy held the title, he did it, why carry on at this point?

weirdman is 1-5 so far on his retirement tour, and he's about to main event a card against hermansson.

I hope the chris wins so he can welcome Cannonier or Costa back from injury.

I'd like to see him welcome back Georges, might even get a win!

the chris would struggle to beat bj penn at this point of his career.

and lol youre suggesting that theres even a remote possibility of him getting a win over GOAT St. Pierre,  a dude who is in peak shape and trains every day and is waiting for the khabib and tony fight to commence so that he can fight the winner, and be the first fighter to win a title in 3 different weight classes? gtfo out of here.
