They really need to erase from the record that Montano was technically a 'champion'. Winning a tournament of 8 randoms and beating Roxanne Modafferi shouldn't really allow a fighter who's 1-1 in the UFC to be referred to as a former champion.

I suspect that the ufc have some forum members on the pay roll to push wmma, its the only explanation.

I'd love to see Montano go on a win streak and get a shot at Shevchenko - only to be soundly defeated. The inaugural FLW champ thing does annoy me, especially since she was stripped of the title and never lost it via a proper beatdown.

I'm still glad that these two lovely ladies are able to advance their careers in the blossoming women's flyweight division.
