Shavkat Rakhmonov Official Hype Train

Oh damn no official hype train! Change the threat title bro it's all yours!

I hate to say it but I actually see a higher ceiling in the Shav over Zat.. but Zat is marketable af so Dana won't throw money at him.

He's got the record that all of the hype behind Zat deserves and some reasonable names along the way.

  • I_Take_Roids_m8 changed the title to Shavkat Rakhmonov Official Hype Train

To put this into perspective, when Khabib was 15-0 he had 4 decisions and was still fighting in Ukraine for one more fight.

The Shav was debuted in the UFC at 12-0 against Brazillian Cowboy who is legit and previously ranked, has headlined events and beaten former interim champs and a former Bellator champ. Khabib's equivalent to this would be Tibao when he was 18-0

Then he fought Prazares who was a roided ****ing monster at the time.

This dude could very well be bigger than Khabib.

Absolutely elite

Dude is a beast. When either him or Khazmat beat the brakes off Usman, him and Khazmat will have the ultimate battle.

Been a fan since jungle fights btw.

This thread is deemed unacceptable for hype train due to this comment.

This should have been posted before his first fight in the UFC. Seeing you have been a huge fan for so long. Get this ish outta here.

He was actually harassing Patrick Swayze.

Reported for such an obvious attempt to disguise the fact that you're a huge "Ghost" fan since day 1.

Thank you for acknowledging once again my unmatched skill in only selecting the most excellent gifs for any given situation.

Particularly gifs you can hear.

I know this is from the movie Ghost. But, the fact remains that in the gif, he's bullying darker toned people

8 Kos 8 submissions.

Guarantee if he fought burns he would finish him. Dude is Khazmat but with good fight IQ. Doesn't fight careless.

My same thoughts on his IQ too.

His record is something serious to look at for sure.

He called Wonderboy right ? I think it will be a very good test for him and it will put him in a great position at 170

Not sure why baldy is not pushing this guy still.

Dude is the real deal

Because he doesn't speak English, for one. Also, your average American can't tell the difference between a Kazakh and a Russian. We're kinda doing this Russia bad thing right now in America, so it's not really the time to start pushing people that appear to be Russian.

what’s your take on him vs Khamzat if he wins his next fight? How do you think it plays out.

They're not putting these two against each other. Zat will move to MW and get his first loss to Whittaker and Kat will maul every WW the UFC feeds him

Khamzat is trolling he doesn't want to fight Whittaker.  The counter wrestling and hands would be a problem.  He can't just swing from the hip and hope for the best like he did against Burns.

Khamzat is a natural freak. His athletic ability far exceeds 99% of these guys. From what I've seen Shavkat may not be as athletic, but he's infinitely more composed in the cage. I do believe when Chimaev loses, it will be his composure that costs him. So I'd probably take Shavkat right now.

Chimaev needs to go train with some Russian guys. Some calm, emotionless killers like Fedor. The more time he spends around touchy goofballs like Darren Till, the less I like his chances of getting a belt and keeping it.

Lol. It's not 2017 mate. Duckles no longer finishes fights I'm afraid.

Khamzat was nearly sparked by Gilbert Burns ffs.  Khamzat hasn't even been in a 5 round fight which is what that should be.  Actually give us top contenders in the main event of a free card.

Gilly has KO power. Why do you disrespect him like that?

That third round was I was clenching my cheeks. He went full Khamzat/Burns last night.

he’s too good of a striker to be reckless. I think he landed 60ish% of strikes??? Doesn’t need to be reckless.

all in all a good win against a tough opponent.

what’s next for him @cashfl0w?

Covington or title shot. Give the man what he wants.

The problem with Shavkat is he fights in a stagnant, messed up division. With Usman rematching Leon, the top contenders seem to be shuffling around nervously trying to avoid fights so that they're next in line if Edwards does the job again.  Covington and Belal don't want that heat.  Burns seems to be the only top guy willing to take a risk.

Can they just ignore these dudes sitting on the sidelines and make Shavkat v Chimaev a number 1 contender match?

Leon / Marty 3 = result awaiting

Colby not being allowed anything from the George case?

Khamzat not being allowed another ‘big’ show at WW, unless he’s guaranteed to make weight.

Come on man

Good grief, Leon v Marty 2 is a stretch without pencilling a trilogy fight.

Whoever wins the rematch should fight the next in line.

Colby was fighting 2-3 times per year before he got a title shot. Now it's down to once as he's another who's happy to just sit and wait (WW is full of them...)

Chimaev is now doing a similar thing, but at MW. Thinks he's going to leapfrog a bunch of contenders and win one fight to get to the kickboxers at the top of the division.

The ranking system ruined the UFC.

Gotcha. Thought you meant another rematch of the rematch assuming Usman wins.

But that's kind of a moot point then. As i said - Leon v Marty for the belt, Rakhmaninov v somebody else as a number 1 contender fight

Driving past his house tonight on the way to drop my cats off. Gonna pop in and ask him why he's become such a duck
