If Chimaev loses to Burns...

I just don't see how unless Khamzat puts himself in a bad position on the ground.  He's a middleweight in the WW division and Burns is a blown up lightweight.  I expect him to obliterate Gilbert.

However to the question if he loses it's very bad for the brand.  He's already said he will smesh champions in 2 different weight divisions.  He said Israel would be far easier than Marty and I think we all said that before he did.

On a side note, Sage Northcutt was one of my favorite hype train derailments.

I agree, along with(although maybe considered an upset), Ronda Rousey was a hype train against a bunch of cans till she ran into skilled fighters. Yet Rogan and others thought she could beat other male UFC fighters, and even Mayweather if IRC.

I bought the hype so hard. I'm worried I didn't hedge well enough on Burns now.

Somebody get in here and comfort me. Tell me Chimaev is going hammer this fake Brazilian can.

Watch the ceremonial stare-down,  you'll feel better . My problem is more sensitive,.. the wife wants to bet Zombie heavy at  +595 .... she's pulled this chit off numerous times in the past-

I'm trying to convince her to bet the O/U at  -149/ +120 > 👀

Gils no fake can but if Hazmat can carry the leech through the air like a child he's going to have a huge strength advantage over the much smaller Gil.

Only way I see Hazmat losing is to arm bar off a hectic scramble but even then its a low chance imo because his technique, control, and GnP is so good.

Bring on Marty Snoozeman

Big Volk fan but I cant shake the feeling that its Zombie's time to shine. He seems to be getting some really good training at Fight Ready with a customized strength and conditioning program.

+595 is insane value

They're going to set up Chimaev vs. Covington on the same card as Marty vs. Leon, in case one of those guys pulls out.

That was a hell of a fight. I think Gilbert could have won if he were more settled down in the first round. That said he still fought with huge heart tonight. Hazmat got his bell rung. You could see it in his eyes after the fight. I am happy to see this guy start to realize there is a big difference fighting guys like Gilbert, Colby and Kamaru.

Agreed. I dropped $5000 on Zombie to win on the afternoon just before the fight. Money well spent.
