Best part about Leon winning

Yeah I must say Dana did not seem too excited in my opinion.

However he is probably very excited now.

See, Dana probably did not want Leon to have the shot because he did not expected he to beat Usman just like many of the fans.

Now he sees $ signs everywhere with this trilogy so he is probably happy now

Declaring yourself the number one contender with almost zero merit, aside from a win streak against some potatoes, was a big mistake. Remember when this clown flaked out of the Chimaev fight like three times? Or how about when he wanted a title shot for a NC against Muhammad? Or when he demanded a title shot for his lone win in three years, against Nate Diaz?

Yeah, Leon was the one in the way. Not Baldie. You'd have to be pretty tuned out from the business side of things to not see that they try their best to keep British contenders alive (Arnold Allen fights nothing but taters, Darren Till keeps ****ing it up but they're giving him winnable fights over and over, etc etc).. It's not like Usman sells tickets. They wouldn't have much reason to want him as champion over Edwards.

OP is a dipchit. Shocking.

You think Dana wanted Marty as the champ?  Dude showed up to the pre fight press conference ****y as hell.  Was showing his **** and talking about going to 205 to fight Jan or Jiri.  He doesn't move the needle.  If anything Masvidal got back to back title shots because he wanted someone to upset Marty.  He had the built in Jorge only got 5 days notice and had to cut 20 pounds the first time.

This just delays his push on Khamzat who would probably gas and Marty is on EPO.  He has to say things like greatest welterweight of all time.  Pound for pound #1.  Like in boxing when they want another PPV they make the first fight a draw.  Canelo/GGG 1.  Fury/Wilder 1.  Only this isn't rigged by Oscar, Arum or Hearn having the judges in their back pockets.  Leon kicked the man's head clean off.

Post fight interview: "I planned it that way, he kept dropping his head......look at me now !"

🤣

He did set it up well I give him that but less than a minute left?  That's pushing it when you know a finish is required.  Marty was an idiot not to wrestle or clinch with 3 minutes left all the way until the fight was over.

I like how Rogan couldn't even see the actual set up.  He kept saying that left hand that extended with the kick is what Marty bit on.  No it initially was a right jab feint from southpaw.

BTW what the **** is up with Rogan lately?  Who the **** wears a suit with a tie on like that?  Makes him look like a hobo that just found some nice, new suit.  Just go full DC and don't wear the tie at all.

He looked like he borrowed the shirt/tie/jacket from his little brother, if you can't dress proper then learn FFS.... he had that tie undone from the minute the early prelims started.

PS: Never wear a white dress shirt to a UFC event, when sitting 4 feet away from the cage.... and hugging fighters in interviews post fight.

Pretty sure he changed shirts after the rockhold fight since he got covered in blood

I thought it was all of the bandwagon Brits suddenly pretending like they care about Leon.

I can't stand either one of them.  However at least Leon was staying in his lane.  You know the welterweight lane?

Marty wouldn't shut the **** up this entire year about light heavyweight.  Oh no I won't fight Israel he's my brother.

Different fathers but the same mother?  Did I miss something?  Good god man Jan, Jiri, Glover would all violently sodomize him when the ref says fight.  He had the nerve right before this fight to say he would fight Jon Jones.  Jon with his go go gadget limbs could kick his head off from the opposite side of the cage.

I'm indifferent to both.

I'm one of the few that thought Leon deserved a shot (mostly out of lack of contenders) but I also didn't care if he won.

Usman is annoying but I just tuned him out. The US crowd cheering when Usman got knocked out and when they gave Leon the belt, shows what US fans think of Usman.

Vert gonna Vert

Dana, who famously says, "you guys know I don't make fights the same night" said he wants to go to Wembley for the trilogy and insisted Usman is fine to resume training

Along with what Cash said, Dana's gone to London twice this year and is pushing guys like Paddy.

Leon winning the title was the cherry on top. Just improves the English market

I listened to Ariel's post-fight on Spotify and they were getting a ton of fans from England calling in and very prideful of what Leon did

I was happy for him just because all the **** he was getting.

Had like 6 fights cancelled due to covid or injury.  Burns got the shot after the Woodley fight that should've been Leons fight if not for covid.   Got **** on for sitting for a shot when other fighters in the same division did exactly that.   Got shat on for the Chimaev eye poke and for taking the Diaz fight instead of the rematch.    Still kept winning against who was put in front of him.

Even the wonderboy situation sucked.  Don't blame him for not taking that fight.  it doesn't move him up if he wins, puts him way to the back of the line if he loses and is dangerous enough to risk being close to a shot.

Basically all the stuff he was accused of doing was already going on everywhere else in the division.   He just didn't have the same following as Colby or Jorge for people to explain it away because 'reasons'.

You just confused Belal Muhammed with Chimaev.

LMFAO NOPE!  This was the best part!  Start the video at 20:45 where Cejudo starts telling Ali this is easy money bro.  Only there's 2 minutes left in the fight.  Ali isn't even watching he's on his phone.  Now Ali doesn't get to stand in front of Mama Usman for the group photo... again.

How much money do you think that scumbag Ali lost?  I can't believe Justin Gaethje surrounds himself with terrorist trash.  Once Marty is knocked out Cejudo is an expert to whatever can is standing next to him.  That is when he picks his jaw up off the floor.

I agree with most of this, except Leon has zero wins because his fight with Nate ended with him out on his feet, staggering around like the town stiff.

Thats a pyrrhic victory at best and a moral victory for Diaz.
