They move O'Malley above Merab and Chito to the #1 spot

Sean's last 4 fights

SD vs Yan

NC vs Munhoz

TKO vs Paiva

TKO vs Kris Moutinho

Merab's last 4

UD vs Jose Aldo

TKO vs Marlon Moraes

UD vs Cody Stamann

UD vs John Dodson

Chito last 4

KO vs Dominick Cruz

UD vs Rob Font

KO vs Frankie Edgar

UD vs Davey Grant

Also TKO'ed O'Malley

TKOing two no names, a no contest, and a controversial split decision makes you #1 if the UFC needs to hype you up.

What goes around comes around in this sport, O'Malley is heading for a hard crash . The net overwhelmingly had Yan winning and

anything other than a Chito rematch is a non-starter .

I don't like the guy and he is tool, Conor wannabe, etc but we can't ignore the fact that he hang there with Yan who was the number contender.

Dana is the real tool, O'Malley is the flunky .... it's sickening .   #payyourdues

I do think Yan is tailing off,  his peak time is passing -

It also doesn't make sense that Yan lost to #11 and only dropped 1 spot.

Should be Aljo, Merab, Chito, Sean, Yan

Aljo and Merab would both likely dominate Sean with wrestling and Chito already beat him.

Agree to all points. I thought it was hilarious when they released that

Uncle Dana is already targeting Aljo vs Cejudo cause he knows damn well Suga doesn't win a fight against Aljo right now. Like you said, against Aljo and Merab it'll be a hug fest. And if they somehow did Yan vs O'Malley II, I would see Yan strictly wrestling him and holding on for dear life.

Between Suga, Chito, Sandhagen, and Merab, there are different combos of fights you can make there.

Most sense would be Chito vs Merab for #1 contender. And then Suga vs Sandhagen. I didn't throw TJ in there cause I'm assuming he's out a while. If he's back sooner than later, I definitely wouldn't mind seeing Suga vs TJ

I'm still not getting this. Not just from you specifically, but from others that Sean is annoying.

Sean's really not that bad. He could have had all the reason to **** over Yan after the fight, but kept it cool and said he didn't know who won and wanted to watch it back

Could have easily been like, "I won that, **** Yan, give me my belt"

The only real argument for Yan even winning is that his "control time" is worth a lot when he did nothing with it except try and avoid the striking once Sean started putting it on him

This.

I did watch the fight a second time and sober this time lol. First round was incredibly close if I'm being honest. 2nd round was clearly Yan. 3rd was clearly Suga.

Mid-third round, Suga had him on wobbly legs and Yan shot in right away and Anik said something along the lines of basically Yan panic wrestling once he was hurt on the feet lol. Even on his back, Sean was at least trying to catch an arm and throw up arm bars. Watch it a second time, Yan never really tries to advance his position or go for a sub. He's really just holding him down and running down the clock.

Few times Sean was able to get up relatively quick too. I think if it was a 5-round fight, either Suga would have gotten a TKO in the 4th or Yan would have just completely pivoted and would wrestle the last two rounds and just hold on for dear life

lol, well that's part of his brand. Chuck had his mo-hawk. Tito has his oversized blonde head. Dan Hardy had his spikey **** mohawk. Sean just decides to go with the goofy rainbow looking afro, but you can't deny it's something you immediately associate with him, like the examples I just provided. I'm sure there's more, those just popped up

Also, this might be an unpopular opinion, but idgaf

I've been absolutely unimpressed with Yan over the last three years.

-Beat up a washed 40-year old Faber.
-Beat up a way passed their prime Aldo
-DQs himself with an incredibly dumb knee against Aljo.
-Win against Cory was fine.
-Then is dominated by Aljo in the rematch
-Now he loses to a guy ranked 10 spots below him.

Regardless if you think it's a "robbery", the real irony of it is - should a fight against a guy who's not even in the top 10 lead to any discussions of a robbery?? We should be talking about how the #1 guy dismantled the #11 guy, but that didn't happen.

Everybody that scores fights on the net scored it for Yan. He did his part. In fact, a lot of people had it 30-27 Yan.

I get it, you're up O'Malley's **** for whatever reason. But you sound ridiculous ****ting on Yan when most people had him winning.

You clearly haven't researched UFC rankings or you would realise that it is an IMPECCABLE process.  Only the true elite commentators of MMA get to have their say.  Are you saying that you know more than Gumby and Shockwave Dave from Turtle podcast?  Please see below list of media outlets that choose the rankings and I'm sure you'll be reassured that there's nothing dodgy, questionable or unprofessional about it at all.

KHON Honolulu, MMA Oddsbreaker, CFMU 93.3, Bursprak.se, FightNews, Fight Network, Gazeta Esportiva, Cherokee Scout, Burbank Leader, MMA Weekly, KIOZ 105.3, Vladusport.com, Wrestling Observer, Top Turtle Podcast, MMA Fight Radio, BoxeoMundial, Kimura.se, MMA Soldier, MMA NYTT, Blood & Sweat, Inside Fighting Radio

Actually, joking aside, i looked up kimura.se out of interest as they're a Swedish website.  It's basically a bunch of mates who started watching MMA 10 years ago (because of Gus i guess).  Under the "journalist" biography, one guy has this: Ralph has been following the sport since 2017. Favorite fighters are GSP and Rose Namajunas.

So there you have it.  A Swede named Ralph who has seen his favourite fighter literally once is partly in charge of setting the UFC rankings...

Well I'd say Ralph is Wreckin' It

Wreck it Ralph....
