No doubt but his buddies ponied up the money for Mark Geragos for a reason.  It's not going to be 20 years.  I think 2 to 4 years and 8 months is already banked.  That's even with this being California.  If this was south Texas he would've been granted bail inside of a week.

I wouldn't have an issue.  Problem is that he not only shot the wrong guy but he chased them in daylight on crowded streets.  He used his truck as a battering ram.  He's lucky a stray shot didn't take out or hit someone that wasn't involved at all.

If Geragos got him 2 years with credit for 8 months.  16 months left and out in half of that it would be a major victory.  They will likely pile on him having to regularly visit support group meetings.

I'm just glad he's out.  He was denied the previous 3 hearings.

It's California. He didn't kill anybody. They'll give him probation and keep it moving.

He should move to Illinois. They woulda let him out of jail when he got there. Called him a 'non-violent offender' and told him see ya at court.

Come January 1, every single person that gets out of line is getting slapped. They won't hold you for it. Cops will hand me a summons and leave me there with the dude I slapped.

Don't you guys have that woman that looks like an alien burn victim as mayor?  That thing said that Chicago had a great 2021 and will have an even better 2022.  Describe what's better?  You'll have to excuse me I'm a southern hillbilly but in 2021 Chicago had record HIGHS in murder, rape and just general crime.

At least that's what the stats say.  I'm not walking around certain parts of that city with my conceal carry pistol on me.  Which I wouldn't be legal in that state.  I violated TN state law just for Chattanooga and Knoxville until the state said CC licenses are no longer required July 2021 I think.  That is if you're not a felon and the gun is legal.

As for Cain I was a big fan but honestly he was way out of line.  He should've beat this chester within an inch of his life.  If step dad wants to get involved he can catch the hands as well.  I do take issue with the multiple mile pursuit around so many innocent people.  Not even just the potential for stray bullets but using his truck as a weapon could've killed people.  He is very lucky to be Cain Velasquez former UFC heavyweight champion.  Cain Velasquez the man with multiple friends that have deep pockets.

Meh hindsight is 20 20. Easy to say I would do this and that in a rational manner when looking at the situation after it unfolds. 

Very different when its your child thats getting molested and you find out about it. I can imagine being rational takes a backseat to the rage, disgust, and desire to make the pos pay for what they've done by whatever means necessary.

 I agree and blame the police/justice system.  Cain thought this dude was locked up.  He finds out they let him out and clearly lost it.  He's always been a very private loner.  He's never been in the headlines for after parties.  I don't recall him showing up as a spectator on a fight night.  I thought the only child he had was a daughter until this happened.

I'm glad he was able to bail out. He's not a flight risk and he's not going to pose a threat to society while the proceedings are ongoing, so it was the right call by the judge.

That said, it will be very hard for him to prevail in court given the circumstances. I still hope he can cut a plea deal that drops the attempted murder and just convicts him of assault or something of that nature.
