Patty the Batty. Love him or hate him?

He seems to be leaning hard into the Scouser ****bag role, but just a week or two ago, he seemed like a fairly likable guy trying to clean up some sloppy chit on somebody's lawn.

Yesterday, the more gentle areas of the internet lost their chit over him calling Topuria a mongrel, and I see Bezerker seemed to be quite offended at his use of the f-word. I couldn't understand anybody on the stage, so I passed on the press conference. Even Bryce sounds like he's speaking another language sometimes. lol

Patty had a catfight with Ariel Helwani because he asked for money to do an interview, claiming he had a previous interview lined up that was paying him, and didn't want to cancel. Ariel cried for a solid hour about it on the air. Claimed he doesn't make money on YouTube stuff, he donates all the proceeds to blah blah blah. If you donate the proceeds, you made money. Some of us are aware how charitable tax write-offs work. @Vertias@VertFTW (it wouldn't let me untag fake Vert), you know what to do...... *cringe*

Are you a big Patty guy? I know Homoplatipuss (the confused guy, in case you're not good with usernames) is a big fan of the hair. Went and got his cut just like it, and never looked back. I know @Bubba_Sparks grew up down the street from him, so he's required to fanboy out. Anybody else a big Patty guy? Are you not a fan because he's a racist POS? Are you merely riding the James Krause tip that Jared Gordon can't stop a nosebleed, so the Patty the Batty train proceeds to the next stop?

TBH, if Paddy hadn't been cleaning up after his dog so politely lately I might already have ditched him.

Seems like main eventing has gone to his head a bit. He's skipped through the entertaining part of the Conor gimmick (think who the fook is that guy) and jumped straight to the cringe sliding into my DMs phase. He'll probably break his leg tomorrow.

Think he's decent, but fact he came out and sucked off Dana, stroked his ego by dissing Ariel, just to get exposed as a complete liar makes me lose a ton of respect

Says he's against bullying and trying a mental health movement while doing the exact opposite.

He hasn't fought anyone relevant. Feed him to someone in the top 15 and let's see what all the hypes about

Did that to his homegirl Molly mcCAN already and she got MOLLY whopped...

Swings from his hip.  Gets rocked by turds.  I don't really mind him when he's on a different platform.  That bigger stage like the press conference was cringe.  He told Topuria "You'll do nuttin'!" like 4 or 5 times in a row.  Like a try hard McGregor without the hands.  Conor was a UFC world champion at his age.  Conor was fighting Max Holloway in his second UFC fight.

Liked him a lot until I watched helwanis piece. I’m hoping he gets some boos Saturday

Here's the thing with Helwani's hour long rant: He's leaving a lot of the story out, and hoping people don't know better.

A lot of people do get paid for interviews. Maybe not on the Helwani set, but people do get paid to talk to reporters. That is a thing. I wouldn't be surprised whatsoever to learn that people like NBC cut Tom Brady some sort of check for stopping to talk to the on-field reporter after the game.

Also, like I stated in the OP, he might give away the proceeds from the views he gets, but that doesn't mean he isn't writing that **** off on his taxes. In fact, I'd bet my life right now that he is writing it off. So while he may give a few dollars away, he's still benefiting in the long run from it. The fighters do not benefit from it, short of maybe some extra social media followers, who might buy some merchandise through the store their father runs.

The real story is somewhere in between Paddy and Ariel's accounts.

Well at least someone bothered to look at the full story before passing judgment.

Shocked, I say.

Mr. Bean was probably the best English television show of all time.

BIG FACTS.

Hell no!

Coupling, Peaky Blinders, Sherlock, Fawlty Towers, Good Omens

I even sit through seasons of Coronation Street before watching Bean

Did not like anything about that show and movies

Paddy was fortunate to escape with a 29-28 tonight. He's the type of fighter who looks like a ninja when beating lesser opponents but will struggle against top competition. I'm interesting in seeing who they match him up with next.

He needs to rematch Julian Erosa, and win for real this time.

Paddy wants to fight Conor in "UFCs biggest PPV I'm history"

Yeah right 🚶‍♂️💨💨

Conor KOs him within two minutes. Paddy shouldn't be anywhere near the top 20 of the division.

The interesting part is that even if Dana would like to paddle his record to push for a title shot that would take years

TBH, given where both fighters are, that's not a terrible idea. Avoids Conor getting xposed again, and if paddy wins, it pads his questionable record even more.

Comparisons between the two are fairly odious though. In his prime, Conor was an elite level striker, with a strong work ethic and huge self belief. Paddy's good at some stuff, but not ellie level at anything. Add to that his questionable eating habits and the two are completely different animals.

Conor fought for the belt in his 6th fight at the same age as paddy. Do we really think paddy is 1 fight away from a title shot???

Everyone must walk their own path, dear Sparks. Paddy is taking a path of longer development, which can certainly turn out to be a shrewd move.

The comparisons of hype level and overall pull in the industry are spot on. Paddy is easily the most recognizable guy in the sport today besides the man himself, Conor.

Whether the skills and big fight delivery pan out remains to be seen.

A few minor indulgences in the earthly pleasures of delicious savory food is not cause for alarm when the athlete shows up on weight ready to go 3 hard rounds, which Mr Pimblett has demonstrated thus far.

I can explain why people hate on you Paddy, ..  bcoz you're getting the big push from the powers that be even though

you're not a good fighter .  the fans know what they're seeing-

Well to be fair sometimes I think the UFC is to be blamed on all that.

They make a fighter being unlikable by the way they push and try to promote it

I agree with this.

IMO, the way Conor never defended a belt and took a series of increasingly meaningless fights was 80% down to how the UFC handled things.

I actually hate Ariel more now lol

That egotistical prick just keeps milking this ****. Talked about it for another hour on his Ringer podcast, then posted another video this past Monday, still talking about it

He's a wannabe babyface who thinks he's doing the right thing

They can both suck a fat Richard
