Next thing you know, Showtime is gonna schedule a boxing match and knock out some legend like Roy Jones Jr, and shut every one of you idiots up all at the same time. Just wait. It's coming.

lol it's already scheduled by Jorge boxing promotions.

As for Kevin Lee that decision over Diego was a mighty impressive run outside of the UFC.  I truly cannot wait to hear him cry and whine for a 165 division in the UFC again.  I feel like he was calling for a 165 division a minimum of twice a month.

God sent us a sign that you idiots need to STFU!

What are you gonna say about Showtime's hands when he starches RJJ?

Ryan Bader would probably beat the LHWs at the top of the UFC right now... I'd make him a favorite over Hill.

So what are you getting at?

MTP back to dominate, and Showtime about to knock Roy Jones Jr. the **** out with me in the front row in his hometown, same place he won the UFC title..

What a day for MMA!

Jorge must've been smuggling cocaine for the last year to afford everyone on this card.  Either that or some wealthy backers.

Im getting at the fact that he will fair no better than he did before.

He fought for the interim LW belt before?

I'm also getting at the fact I've literally never seen you say anything positive about any fighter ever.

I was actually super stoked when I read he was back; I'd say 95/100 level excitement. No cap

Always thought he was well rounded

Never forget his KO against Gillepsie

Well done.

Most people on the internet are like "hE'lL nEvEr bE cHaMpIoN sO cUt hIm AnD lEt hIm DiSaPpEaR sO I cAn WaTcH rAnDoM bUmS iNsTeAd". A quality take, btw.

Nah, the ufc only offered him three fiddy a fight cause he kind of had 2 runs & didnt make it, but Eagle Fc were desperate for anyone so they could start their promotion, so they offered him four hunnit dollars a fight & he couldn't sign fast enough. I think his new deal with the ufc is three fiddy & unlimited Monster energy drinks.

He's one of those fighters that looks great when he wins and terrible when he loses. I do feel for him in that he is a natural 165er, but it is what it is. There seem to be a lot of 'tweeners for whom 155 is a struggle but still get outsized and out-muscled by some of the giants that are able to cut to 170.

I'd like to see the UFC implement weight classes every ten pounds, implement some sort of weight cutting restrictions/hydration tests (something like what ONE FC does) and give guys more incentive to fight closer to their regular weight. I'd also eliminate the 125lb division (you'd be forced to if you eliminated big weight cuts anyway) and make a true heavyweight division with no upper limit. It ain't gonna happen though.

UFC really failed itself with these weight classes. There's a ton of guys like Showtime and MTP, who were right at the cusp of a little too big for lightweight, but just seemingly too small for welterweight.

After further reflection, I think someone winning a decision over a 40-year-old Diego Sanchez is more than enough justification for getting a multi-year fight deal.

MTP was only let go because he had the same management as Ngannou. If you look at the timeline, it becomes pretty obvious.

Suddenly he ditches that clown, signs with Ali Abdel-Aziz, and he's back with the company. Shocking.
